Music Review: Sia - Some People Have Real Problems
Release date: TBA 2008
Format: Album sampler
Genre: Pop
Our rating: 2/5
Not my bag. A depressing run of tunes, especially the first song ‘Little Black Sandals’.
The Australian singer, known for her previous work with Zero 7, became a hit in the UK after Breathe Me was played on popular sitcom Six Feet Under. The highlight by far is Buttons, which has a refreshing upbeat edge compared to the dreariness of the others featured. This is Sia’s first album in three years and, while she has a strong distinctive voice, the rest of the tunes just don’t match up…
