Kim Cattrall
- Profession: Actress
- Place/Date of Birth: Widnes, Cheshire, 21 August 2020
And although it’s not the most glamorous of celebrity endorsements, the actress has somehow managed to make its emphasis on speed seem sexy.
"Using this oven will leave more time for other things," she purred. What chef Allan makes of it is anyone’s guess.
It’s not the first time Kim’s racy image has been used to sell products. She has appeared in double entendre-heavy adverts for Tetley Tea, Nissan cars, Bacardi Island Breeze, Pepsi One and even milk.
Kim says yes to Sex And The City film? - Feb 20 2007
Brace yourselves girls... it seems the long-awaited Sex And The City movie might be set to go ahead.
It’s long been rumoured that Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon were considering doing a feature-length film based on the series.
It was thought Kim was the least likely to agree to reprise her role as man-eater Samantha Jones.
But according to Heat magazine the actress has now agreed to sign up, making it more likely that we’ll see the spin-off movie.
"Kim saw the script and her storyline is so good that she realised she would be absolutely crazy to refuse," an insider told the mag.
"The girls had great fun doing the show, so they all realised they’d be silly to turn down a movie."
There’s no word on what the film will focus on but there has previously been speculation that it will be a prequel to the HBO series, following the girls as they become the cocktail-swilling ladies who lunch in the hit show.
Sex and the City movie edges closer - Dec 21 2006
The much-anticipated film version of Sex And The City edges ever closer, after the previously most reluctant cast member expressed her interest in the project.
Many attempts have been made to get the movie off the ground, but all have apparently stalled thanks to actress Kim Cattrall’s reticence to return to the character of Samantha.
Some have said this is because she doesn’t want to tread new ground, others reveal it’s because she wants the same pay package as Sarah Jessica Parker.
However, after returning to America after a three month stint in London’s West End, Kim responded to the talk, saying: "I’ve just come home and there was just this flood of excitement ... I’m just so glad we haven’t been missed or forgotten."
While that’s not exactly a signature on the dotted line, it sounds like she is keen to hear more about it.
All of the other major cast members - Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis - have already said they would be keen to see what happens to the group, picking up where the television show left off.
Kim Cattrall has confessed - Nov 3 2005
Kim Cattrall has confessed she was daunted at the prospect of dating a toyboy when she first fell for 26-year-old boyfriend Alan Wyse. The ’Sex and the City’ actress - who, at 49, is nearly twice the age of her latest lover - admits she was worried they would have nothing in common because of the 23-year age gap.
The blonde beauty, whose two ex-husbands were much older than her, revealed: "Seeing someone much younger than me was totally unexpected. At first, I found myself in this state of mind of really having a judgment about it. What does this mean? We can’t possibly have the same point of view about things because of the age difference - and we don’t. But I never had that with my husbands, either."

Leaving home at sixteen to pursue an acting career Kim found herself in New York, where she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. On graduation her talent was spotted and she signed a five year movie deal with Otto Preminger, a contract that was soon brought out by big bucks studio Universal. The deal saw Kim become a television regular and before long she found herself starring in the Oscar nominated Tribute (1980). More films followed and Kim soon found herself edging towards the comedy genre with parts in Porkys and Police Academy.
Real stardom came knocking in 1987 as Kim was offered the title role in Mannequin, however the success of the movie didn’t guarantee bigger and better roles and it wasn’t until 1991 and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country that she gained a cult status. Throughout the 90s Kim continued her relationship with the theatre appearing on stage regularly until 1997 when she was offered the role of Samantha in Sex and the City. The rest is television legend.
Despite rumours of rifts between Kim and other cast members a Sex and the City film was finally confirmed in 2007. In the meantime Kim has been working on stage, notably appearing in a West End production of Whose Life Is It Anyway and reportedly agreeing to a part in Desperate Housewives.
Currently dating actor Alexander Siddig, Kim has been married three times - to Larry Davis, Andre J Lyson and Mark Levinson with whom she published Satisfaction: The Art Of The Female Orgasm. She has also written two further books, Being a Girl and Sexual Intelligence.
