Joseph plays Vivaldi - October 2006
Joseph Fiennes has a penchant for historical figures when it comes to his film work so it may not come as a surprise to hear that his latest project sees him play composer Antonio Vivaldi. Working alongside Gerard Deperdieu, Malcolm McDowell and Jacqueline Bisset he will represent two decades of work from director Boris Damast.
The film will follow Vivaldi through his early life as a young priest working as a music teacher for illegitimate children.
Fiennes work - August 2004
Joseph and Ralph Fiennes will star in up coming film directed by sister, Martha.
Chromophobia will also feature Penelope Cruz and is set on the Isle of Man. Filming is to begin in late August with the cast and crew travelling to the small island to work on location. Rumours are also rife that Robbie Williams has something to do with the film, but we’re not sure exactly what yet. Both Joseph and Ralph have been previously involved in Oscar winning films, so hopes are high for this project.
A Fiennes man - April 2004

Fiennes In Love - January 23 2003
Hillite Joesph Fiennes has fallen in love on the set of his new movie.
Whilst filming The Great Raid in Australia last August, The Shakespeare In Love actor apparently fell for his co-star Natalie Mendoza.
Hong Kong-born Natalie moved into Joseph’s pad in Notting Hill, less than a month later.
The relationship started just weeks after Joseph split from his girlfriend of two years, make-up artist Fiona Jolly.
Fiennes buys squat to turn into a palace - June 8 2001
Actor Joseph Fiennes has paid £1.2 million for a run-down house in Notting Hill which was previously being used as a squat and is only five minutes away from his old flat.
The Shakespeare in Love actor plans to turn the house into a palace. The six-bedroom, four-storey house had to be disinfected before potential buyers could even view it. Joseph and his current girlfriend, make-up artist Fiona Jolly, adored the house.
’They can see the huge potential it has. It’s in one of the most desirable parts of London and will become the perfect family home.’ Said a friend of the pair.
Joseph loved it so much that he apparently offered £1.2 million cash for the house to beat another bidder. Now architects and designers will supervise the gutting of the house to turn it into an ideal home. Among his neighbours will be former Express editor Rosie Boycott, who lives opposite his new home.
