Jayne and Rhona to star in TV show? - Nov 26 2007
Jayne Middlemiss, Rhona Cameron and Iwan Thomas are apparently set to swap places with single parents for a new reality show on Five.
In the new programme, So You Think You Can Be A Single Parent, Jayne, 36 - who previously won ITV show Love Island - will take on the role of a struggling mum-of-three to find out if she can manage to look after her kids on a tight budget.
Comedienne Rhona - who says she has absolutely no maternal instincts - will take on four kids, whilst athletics champ Iwan will be "mum" to two kids in a tiny flat in London.
The show is by the makers of So You Think You Can Nurse and So You Think You Can Teach.
So You Think You Can Nurse, saw Janet Street Porter, TV presenter Gail Porter and comedian Sean Hughes experience the first-hand the daily challenges of being a National Health Service nurse.
Jayne: I felt alive - Oct 4 2007
Jayne Middlemiss has revealed that roughing it while working on her latest TV project has helped her appreciate home comforts.
Yoga devotee Jayne experienced the hardships of trekking next to the river Ganges for her new Channel 4 show, The Beginners Guide To... Yoga, which airs next week.
"I wanted to bathe in the source of the Ganges as it’s something every serious Yogi must do at least once," the 36-year-old said.
"I had five days without hot water, four days without electricity and it was freezing cold.
"I’m never going to take central heating, electricity and hot water for granted again!"
But the Love Island star described the experience of bathing in the Ganges as "amazing and beautiful".
"I didn’t feel cold, I felt electric and alive," she said.
Jayne has been a fan of the Hindu practice for more than 10 years, and in 2005 she released a hit DVD, Jayne Middlemiss - Love Yoga.
No Kate look for Jayne - May 8 2007
She may only be three years older than Kate Moss, but TV presenter Jayne Middlemiss says she feels too old for Topshop.
Kate, 33, unveiled her range for the high street store last week, featuring floral print dresses and tiny hotpants.
But while 36-year-old Jayne admits being a fan of the shop, she told First magazine she has to watch what she’s wearing now that she’s getting older.
"I’m a real high street girl," said the former model. "I love Topshop but I have to be more careful now I’m in my mid-30s because you can get it so wrong.
"I rush home with a new miniskirt, then worry it’s too young for me."
Geordie Jayne also said her style has evolved somewhat from her indie days at the start of the 1990s.
"I look back at old episodes of The O-Zone and think, ’Jayne, what the f*** were you thinking wearing that?’," she said.
Jayne’s new love? - Dec 04
Jayne Middlemiss is reportedly dating David Walliams. Only problem is the Little Britain star is supposed to back with his ex, Abi Titmuss and just getting over a relationship with Aimee Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy and Sharon. The Geordie presenter has yet to comment on the rumours but if David’s previous dalliances are anything to go by we wouldn’t be surprised if Jayne has been snared too.

She says that her favourite things about LA are the weather, the beach, and the whole entertainment business thing. She found that the strangest aspect of LA was everyone’s obsession with fame. "Everybody’s got a story about someone famous. It’s amusing for a few months, but after that I’ll be like "will you shut up about Mel Gibson’s kids, it’s so boring". And boob jobs are a bit bizarre too." When asked about future guests on the show, she said: "I’d love Madonna on the show - she would be incredible. I’d like Brad and Jen to come on too. "
