Sexy Cheryl - Oct 10, 2020
WAG beauty Cheryl Tweedy has been named the hottest woman in showbiz. The brunette singer, who has been a lads’ mag fave since shooting to fame in Girls Aloud, beat a host of stunning stars to take the top spot in the More magazine poll.
Men aged between 18 and 34 were asked to name their most fancied female celebrities, as part of the magazine’s annual man survey.
Cheryl, who is married to footy star Ashley Cole, scooped 51% of the vote, coming in well above former queen WAG Victoria Beckham, who only managed to scrape into sixth place with 2% of the vote, "Posh was the tops but her time has been and gone," said a More spokeswoman. "Cheryl is now the queen of celebs and WAGS."
Other stars on the list included The Black Dahlia beauty Scarlett Johansson and supermodel Kate Moss, who took second and third place respectively. Glamour girl Jordan and Sarah Beeny rounded out the top five.
WAG the dog - September 2006
Cheryl Cole’s dog has been blamed for Girls Aloud being an hour late for a concert at Stansted House. The girls kept 2500 fans waiting as Buster, Cheryl’s chihuahua refused to let her leave the house she shares with husband Ashley Cole. According to bandmate Nadine Coyle the dog followed Cheryl in to the girls’ car and sat tight until they decided to bring him along for the journey.
It could be Cole - September 2006
Cheryl and Ashley Cole are the new faces of the National Lottery’s Dream Number game. The loved up pair are raking in the cash without having to queue up for their ticket as they advertise the game with a sort of blinging take on heaven which includes white suits, bentleys and angel wings. Stilton anyone?
Allen strikes - August 2006
Cheryl Cole has found herself the butt of a Lily Allen joke. The MySpace music star released a track named after the Girls aloud singer which included the line ’I wish I looked like Cheryl Tweedy’. Cheryl went on record saying she was flattered by the song but Lily has since explained that it was tongue in cheek jibe. "I don’t want to look like Cheryl Tweedy," she explained, "it’s a joke! Of course no one really wants to look like Cheryl they just think they do." Do we see a feud beginning?

At the age of 16 Cheryl auditioned for the Royal Ballet Summer School in
Despite securing a place at the Royal Ballet School and getting distinctions for her dancing from the Royal Academy of Dancing, Cheryl wanted to sing so auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals - the rest, as they say, is history. Soon after hitting the number one spot with Sound of the Underground Cheryl was accused of Racially Aggravated Assault following an altercation in a nightclub toilet. She was sentenced to 120 hours of community service and accusations of racism has plagued her ever since.
In 2006 Cheryl married footballer Ashley Cole, a move which saw critics of both celebrities rubbing their hands in glee (it has been suggested that the marriage was one of convenience with both Cheryl’s rumoured racism and Ashley’s rumoured homosexuality cited). The wedding took place following the World Cup, a tournament during which Cheryl officialy joined the WAG collective. However she remains determined to remain more than just a footballer’s wife - the continuing success of Girls Aloud has so far seen to that.
