Cheryl Cole
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: Newcastle upon Tyne, 30 June 2020
"We need to get behind the boys more," The Sun quoted her as saying. "We should be like the Liverpool fans. Their theory is the worse you are, the louder you shout. It makes a real difference.
"It can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when they start singing You’ll Never Walk Alone."
She also added that she disagrees with fans who boo players.
"I feel sorry for the England players getting booed," she explained. "I think it’s terrible.
"I was saying to the girls, can you imagine if every time we went on stage we got shouted at by the crowd? It would be awful."
Cheryl: You have to pick up dirty underwear - July 31 2007
Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has lifted the lid on being married to a Premiership footballer and has reportedly revealed that it is all about "picking up dirty underwear".
The 24-year-old has just celebrated her first wedding anniversary to the Chelsea and England star - but says her life on the inside is not as glamorous as we may think.
Commenting on what married life has taught her, she told Star magazine: "That you have to pick up dirty towels and dirty underwear, unplug the sink and stuff like that."
Her bandmates - Nadine, Kimberley, Nicola and Sarah - added that the brunette has become more homely.
Nadine laughed: "She’s definitely more of a homebody now," with Cheryl adding that she enjoys baking banana cake.
She also insisted she wasn’t upset by rumours that her marriage was on the rocks.
"It didn’t bother me actually," she said. "If there were problems, then it would probably upset me."
However, she did agree that the constant attention on her private life can get too much at times.
"Sometimes it’s really, really hard," she explained. "Anyone who says they don’t care what people say is a liar because you’ve got to care."
Cheryl v Lily: Round 2? - May 18 2007
The war of words between Cheryl Cole and Lily Allen continues - the Girls Aloud singer has apparently hit back at Lily for calling her a "stupid bitch".
The Wag initially upset the Smile songstress by calling her "a chick with a d***" - which led Lily to complain on her online blog that she felt "fat and ugly".
But now Cheryl has struck back, telling reporters: "She should keep her mouth shut instead of feeling sorry for herself. I left school a long time ago and I have no time for this."
The Girls Aloud star added: "I have had enough of her and her big mouth. Over the last few months she has called Nicola ’ugly’, Sarah ’vile’ and my husband ’horrendous’. I can’t stand people who give it but aren’t prepared to take it."
And she told The Sun: "Yes I was bitchy about her but I never mentioned her weight. Quite frankly I couldn’t care less if she has a d*** or not."
Your turn, Lily...
Lily hits back over Cheryl jibe - May 16 2007
Lily Allen has blamed Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole for sending her into a spiral of depression over her looks.
The 22-year-old singer posted a tearful confession on her Myspace page complaining she felt "fat and ugly" and saying she was considering plastic surgery.
Now the Smile singer has revealed it was brought on by reading hurtful comments in which Cheryl branded her a "chick with a d***".

At the age of 16 Cheryl auditioned for the Royal Ballet Summer School in
Despite securing a place at the Royal Ballet School and getting distinctions for her dancing from the Royal Academy of Dancing, Cheryl wanted to sing so auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals - the rest, as they say, is history. Soon after hitting the number one spot with Sound of the Underground Cheryl was accused of Racially Aggravated Assault following an altercation in a nightclub toilet. She was sentenced to 120 hours of community service and accusations of racism has plagued her ever since.
In 2006 Cheryl married footballer Ashley Cole, a move which saw critics of both celebrities rubbing their hands in glee (it has been suggested that the marriage was one of convenience with both Cheryl’s rumoured racism and Ashley’s rumoured homosexuality cited). The wedding took place following the World Cup, a tournament during which Cheryl officialy joined the WAG collective. However she remains determined to remain more than just a footballer’s wife - the continuing success of Girls Aloud has so far seen to that.
