Cerys Matthews has revealed how she was reduced to tears - by Shayne Ward.

The Catatonia singer heard the former X Factor winner perform Over The Rainbow at the Women's Own Children of Courage Awards, and she said: "That's when the tears started."

During the service the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star gave a reading of the Christmas story, Luke 2:1-16.

The star, who caused controversy over her relationship with Marc Bannerman in the jungle, was asked about her future plans.

"I know what I've got planned," she said, adding that she was not thinking about the plans just now.

Shayne said it was "incredible" seeing the children get awards.

He said "It puts things into perspective... these kids go through agony."

The heart-throb said that as he stood up to sing he was thinking: "I'm going to go here."

But he told how he pictured happy thoughts to get himself through the song.

King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins was surrounded by children asking for autographs after the service.

The actor said the awards were "extraordinary" and had him in "floods of tears".

He said that seeing the children excited at the King of the Jungle "made it even more personal somehow this year".

Talking of his post-jungle plans he said: "I've got so many plans and so many meetings.

"I know that 2008 is going to be very exciting."

Jungle flirts Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman have apparently been spotted dining at the Welsh pub where Cerys celebrated marrying her ex-husband four years ago.

The couple, who have kept a low profile since I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! ended last week, surprised locals when they appeared at the Sloop Inn in Porthgain, reports the Daily Star.

A regular was quoted as saying: "We couldn’t believe it when they walked in hand-in-hand. Cerys is a regular here and we’ve never seen her so happy.

And barman Nathan Eaton, 22, added: "They came in for a meal and everyone thought Cerys looked great."

Cerys, 38, and her record producer ex-husband Seth Riddle had held her wedding reception in the Sloop Inn, which the singer apparently describes as her "favourite" pub in the world.

She and actor Marc, 34, fell for each other whilst taking part in the ITV1 reality TV show and Marc has since split up from his long-term girlfriend Sarah Matravers.

Marc Bannerman’s jilted girlfriend Sarah Matravers has apparently hit out at Cerys Matthews, telling the singer: "I hope you rot in hell."

According to the Daily Mirror, the actress told Closer magazine: "This is a man she’s only known for a week, a man who she knew had a girlfriend. It’s either incredibly cold-hearted or incredibly screwed up. They deserve each other and I hope they rot in hell."

Speaking out about her devastation over the very public end to her relationship, the 33-year-old continued: "Thank God I’m not carrying his child. He and Cerys will probably end up in rehab. And if they do go out, he’s bound to cheat again."

But it seems furious Sarah, who had been with Marc for two years before he joined ITV1 reality show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, was eager to vent her anger at the former Catatonia singer.
