Cat has car trouble? - June 11 2007
Cat Deeley may have impressed TV viewers in the States with her hosting skills, but it seems the same can't be said of her driving ability.

The host of hit US show So You Think You Can Dance has apparently admitted she has difficulty driving around LA, where she is currently based.

"I'm not a great driver and I've had a few bumps. My car looks like it's been to Basra and back," she's quoted by the Daily Express as saying.

Cat added: "But, happily, I don't bump into people. I tend to only hit inanimate objects. It's difficult because the roads are so different over here."

The Fox reality show So You Think You Can Dance, which is now in its third series, searches for America's favourite dancer.

Cat, 30, has also been working on American Idol, NBC's The Tonight Show and ABC's Good Morning America. She also presented Fox's live New Year's Eve coverage from Times Square.

Cat to host Grease show? - Feb 8 2007
TV presenter Cat Deeley is reportedly being lined up to host new ITV talent show You’re The One That I Want.

The 30-year-old, who has been making a splash across the pond presenting US show So You Think You Can Dance?, will apparently front the nationwide search for a Danny and Sandy in a new Grease musical.

The idea for the show follows the success of How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, which found Connie Fisher fame as the new Maria in a West End production of The Sound Of Music.

The show is the brainchild of X Factor’s Simon Cowell and will start screening this summer.

A TV source told The Sun: "Lots of presenters had their names in the frame. But Cat was chosen and it’s a done deal. She’s in the US and it’s simply a matter of getting her agent to sign on her behalf.

"Cat’s star is really rising in the States but she really wants to do this. It’s also a good excuse for her to come home and see her mum."

Cat lands top TV job? - Jan 17 2007
British beauty Cat Deeley has reportedly landed herself a job on American Idol.

The 30-year-old blonde will host a special UK spin-off of the reality talent show, reports The Sun.

Cat will apparently chat to British fans of the US show, which stars music mogul Simon Cowell, and conduct backstage interviews.

A staggering 50 million people tuned in to the finale of the last series, which saw Taylor Hicks take the crown.

The new season kicks off today in the US and screens on ITV2 from Friday.

Since hopping across the pond, the Birmingham-born former Stars In Your Eyes presenter has been a real hit.

Last year she hosted the American reality show So You Think You Can Dance for Fox and hosted a special version of the show live from New York City’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

She also reports for The Tonight Show and is the entertainment correspondent for Good Morning America.
