Spices to design furniture range? - Oct 23 2007

The Spice Girls are rumoured to be in talks to sign a lucrative deal to design their own furniture range, it’s been reported.

A Norwegian firm is keen to sign the comeback group up to add their stamp to a "modern woman" line of home designs, reports the Daily Star.

A source is quoted as saying: "It can’t fail to work. The girls have something so individual about them.

"The company believes all five of the Spice Girls can each bring something unique to the furniture industry.

"They are sure the girls will be hugely successful selling their own designs."

The insider added: "As well as tasteful animal prints, floral wallpaper and patterned lampshades, the plan is to extend the modern, uber-cool range to include luxurious mirrors in every colour of the rainbow.

"There are several meetings set to go ahead which will be arranged around the group’s hectic tour schedule."

Mel denies Spice row - Oct 18 2007

Mel C has denied reports that the Spice Girls have been clashing over ideas for their tour.

The recently reformed girl band were said to have been at loggerheads over whether to sing their own solo material and even what to wear on stage, reports the Daily Star.

But Mel, 33, told ITV1’s This Morning: "At the moment it’s a bit of a love fest. We haven’t been together for a long period of time and there’s going to be ups and downs because everybody’s very strong. But right now we’re all excited and enjoying each other’s company."

She admitted she had been worried whether the girls would get on again.

"I was nervous about the chemistry, whether we still had that magic - but when we did the launch in the summer it was there. I just felt the buzz and that’s when I really started to get excited.

"We feel we want to have the same energy and magic that we had but move it on and evolve - bigger, better Spice Girls," she added.

Geri and Posh clash over tour? - Oct 17 2007

Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham have reportedly fallen out over certain aspects of the forthcoming Spice Girls tour.

The duo are said to be at loggerheads over various matters - including the option of singing their own material, reports Star magazine.

Geri wants to sing a medley of her hits such as It’s Raining Men and Lift Me Up - but Posh is against the idea.

An insider told the mag: "Victoria is adamant she won’t do it. When she signed up, one major stipulation was that she will not sing solo."

The other issue, it seems, is what the girls are going to be wearing.

They continued: "Victoria and Geri have come a long way since they were last in the Spice Girls, and they have completely different ideas of what will work on the road.

"With her fashion background, Victoria considers herself to be a key player in deciding the outfits and overall look of the band, but Geri is adamant that she has her say too."

Spice Girls ’revisiting’ old friendship - Oct 7 2007

Geri Halliwell has compared the Spice Girls’ reunion to friends who are now a little older and wiser getting back together and realising school was better than they remembered.

As she let slip the group’s comeback single will be a ballad called Headlines, she told GMTV that the band reforming was like being given a second chance.

The original Ginger Spice, 35, only hinted at past rifts between the five members of the group when she conceded it was difficult to balance work with friendship.
