This week Jamie released his new single More Than Enough.

The spokesman continued: "Jamie is relaunching himself after travelling around the world on an apprenticeship working with various musicians.

"His new music is more piano led pop rock."

On Jamie’s official site - www.jamiepearce.co.uk - he said: "My lyrics and melodies come from everyday life - people, places, jobs. With your head you come up with a story, and it all flows from that. In this industry you need the will, confidence, and drive to get you on."

Fans brave the cold to see Shilpa - Feb 8 2007

Hundreds of people turned out to greet Shilpa in Leicester as she launched her own charitable foundation.

The Bollywood star had already sparked a media scrum earlier in the day when she visited the House of Commons - but even that probably hadn’t prepared for her enthusiastic welcome later that day.

Fans waited for hours in the cold for the actress, whose appearance on Celebrity Big Brother - where she was at the centre of the racist bullying row - has shot her to fame in the UK.

And Shilpa was forced to abandon her visit to a radio station because the throng prevented her from getting out of her car.

The 31-year-old actress continued on to the nearby Peepul Centre to launch a charitable foundation in her name aimed at raising awareness about Aids in India.

She said: "It is a cause that has been very, very close to my heart. Not just now but for the last four years.

"India is the second largest affected country in the world with the Aids. So I think it’s important to do something about it and it’s every person’s right to live with dignity in our country, even it’s a person who is HIV positive.

"It’s very difficult to do that only because there’s no awareness and I am going to do my bit to support that and I think starting this organisation is really going to help us try a new beginning."

Shilpa: I can’t resurrect Jade’s career - Feb 6 2007
She was noticeable by her absence from the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party - but Shilpa Shetty says she was not even invited.

Jade Goody did not make the bash because she was in rehab, while Jo O’Meara was locked away in a hotel speaking to therapists.

But Shilpa, 31, said: "I knew nothing about the party. I did not snub it, I didn’t get an invite.

"Perhaps they didn’t know how to contact me."

Towers of London frontman Donny Tourette, Dirk Benedict, Jermaine Jackson and Cleo Rocos were all at the central London party, with presenters Davina McCall and Dermot O’Leary.

In today’s interview for Reveal magazine, Shilpa also dismisses rumours of a reunion Channel 4 show with Jade.

"I am no Samaritan - I’m just human.

"If anybody thinks I can resurrect somebody’s career or character, they’re wrong, it’s just not possible for me to do. If I need to speak to Jade, I don’t need to do it as a publicity stunt - I’ll do it in private, between ourselves," she said.

The Bollywood beauty admitted she was suspicious when Jade suddenly apologised to her on the show.

She said: "I was because I didn’t expect it.

"Maybe CBB had asked her about it and it dawned on her."

She added: "I haven’t heard from any of the girls since leaving the house.

"They haven’t tried to contact me. I think at the moment, they are probably too ashamed to face me after everything that has gone on."

Biography

Shilpa Shetty was born in Tamil Nadu, India, on June 8, 1975, to models, Surendra Shetty and Sunanda Shetty.

At the age of 15 she followed in her parents footsteps and signed up to a modelling agency with the goal of becoming a ramp model.  However at the age of 17 she took her first steps on to the silver screen when she was offered the leading role in the film Gaata Rahe Mera Dil opposite Rahul Roy. Sadly the film never got completed and was stalled, but she went on to accept a role in Baazigar, opposite Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. This became a super hit and Shilpa earned a Filmfare nomination for Best New Comer.

Following her initial success, Shilpa wasn’t so lucky on the movie side of business and her next two films flopped. It wasn’t until Main Khiladi Tu Anari that she caught the eye of Bollywood. Her solo song featured in the movie propelled her to fame and she quickly became the hottest thing in India.

After more unlucky production choices and more flops, Shilpa finally sealed her fate in celebrity-dom and redefined herself as a quality actress as well as a Bollywood beauty when she signed to appear in Phir Milenge. The movie dealt with the subject of HIV/AIDS and Shilpa’s character was HIV positive. For this role she earned praise from the Giant International Award and Indo-Pak’s Young Achiever.

Since then she has gone onto star in a number of successful hits, has become an AIDS activist and represents PETA in India.

Her most recent escapade, as a contestant in Celebrity Big Brother, has brought her international fame as well as sparking a global discussion on racism in the modern world.
