Sharon: I did terribly this year - Dec 14 2007
Sharon Osbourne has admitted she did "terribly" on this year's X Factor, but says she definitely wants to stay on the panel.
The 55-year-old saw two of her Under 25 girls get booted off the show - and the third withdrew - long before the semi-finals.
Speaking at a press conference, she said: "I did terribly this year, so as far as my mentoring goes I didn't do very well did I?
"As far as the dream team for next year, please don't lets change it again - I just want to stay exactly where we are. I think we're a pretty fiery lot, but we can all hold our own."
But Sharon admitted she did live in fear of being sacked like fellow judge Louis Walsh was for a time last year.
"I've learnt that you don't make long term plans in this industry. I never know what's happening. If they want me I'm here," she added.
She also responded to reports of tension between herself and Dannii Minogue, saying: "It's an open playing field. Dannii speaks about me and I speak about her, but yet we both respect each other."
Meanwhile, Louis admitted he had been "very outspoken" this year, adding: "I'm not as afraid as I was last year. We do get on very well, we're all just very competitive. We've got four egos here and we all want to win and we all want the best for our artists."
Sharon gets her claws out - Dec 13 2007
Sharon Osbourne has taken a swipe at fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, saying: "She’s there because of her looks."
Osbourne now has to share the limelight with the younger star on the ITV talent show and there have been reports of behind-the-scenes tensions.
She told Graham Norton on his BBC2 chat show: "She knows she’s there because of her looks, not because of her contribution to the music industry.
"She’s younger, she’s better looking, Simon wants her and he doesn’t want me - thank God!"
Sharon also said she was upset at last week’s result, which saw dinner lady Niki Evans lose the public vote.
"It was such a travesty that Niki got the boot. I felt she was what the show was about - she hasn’t really had a break in her life, she represents every working mum in the country, and they boot her off," Sharon said.
The winner of the show is a foregone conclusion, according to Osbourne, who said: "Of course he’s going to win."
The Graham Norton Show airs on Thursday night at 10pm on BBC2.
Sharon’s diamond give-away - Dec 3 2007
Sharon Osbourne reportedly caused astonishment at a charity show when she took off a £30,000 ring and threw it into the audience.
In a spontaneous fit of Christmas spirit, the 55-year-old removed a diamond from her finger and toss it into the crowd at a celebrity fundraiser for Elton John’s Aids Foundation,
Sharon, who had previously thrown her red Aids awareness ribbon into the audience at London Astoria’s G-A-Y club, reportedly shouted: "Here, have a diamond as well."
According to a source, the ring was one that Sharon had bought herself.
"Sharon was having a great night and wanted to give something back to the crowd," the friend is quoted as saying.
A spokesman said: "The ring was worth £30,000. It was a spontaneous gesture. Sharon was in a great mood, there was a great crowd and it was a poignant event.
"Christmas has come early for whoever caught it."

Sharon also worked her magic on acts such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Coal Chamber and Motorhead, there are also rumours that she briefly worked with Queen but was sacked by Freddie Mercury.
During their long hours together Sharon and Ozzy fell in love and, in 1982, they were married in Hawaii. However, it hasn’t all been romance for Sharon, she has stuck by her husband through his drink and drugs problems, which came to a head when her husband tried to strangle her. Despite everything Sharon has stood by her man and turned her family into a hugely successful media product.
In 2002 The Osbournes aired on MTV. The show followed the lives of Sharon, Ozzy, son Jack and daughter Kelly as well as their legion of pets as they went through day to day life in California. An immediate hit The Osbournes immediately launched the family in to the limelight like never before and when Sharon was diagnosed with cancer during the making of the series she insisted filming continue.
Despite the bad luck that came with the series - both Jack and Kelly developed problems with drink and drugs during that time - there has been a silver lining for Sharon. Ok, so her self titled talk show wasn’t the hugest success in the US but her role as judge on The X Factor has launched Sharon to a whole new audience while the UK version of her talk show garnered a respectable amount of viewers.
Elsewhere Sharon has set up top rock festival Ozzfest and published her autobiography, Extreme, which sensationally revealed the levels of plastic surgery she has undergone, including lap-band surgery (which reduces the size of the stomach) and detailed her ongoing battle with bulimia. However, it is her outspoken ways which have seen Sharon hit the headlines time and time again, from hitting out at Chris Tarrant to a fued with Iron Maiden, via bitchy comments to Rebecca Loos and a neverending argument with fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
