The pop star husband of glamour girl Jordan has reportedly undergone a brain scan for a condition which has baffled doctors.

He was taken to the East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, Surrey, at the weekend and has been under observation since, according to The Sun.

Jordan, pregnant with the couple’s second child, is said to be "frantic" with worry and maintaining a bedside vigil.

The 34-year-old fell ill at home in Ockley, Surrey, on Saturday and Jordan - real name Katie Price - dialled 999. He was discharged on Sunday morning but returned that night after taking a turn for the worse, the paper said.

The couple’s spokeswoman, Claire Powell, told the newspaper: "Peter’s not well at all. He’s had lots of tests, but nobody’s any the wiser. I can’t say when he’ll be back at work. He’s really poorly."

A friend of the couple said: "When he was taken to hospital he was so weak he had to be helped on board the ambulance.

"Jordan is frantic with worry. Obviously she’s desperate to get to the bottom of what’s wrong."

Peter was struck down in the midst of filming a fly-on-the-wall ITV documentary about the pair.

Jordan and hubby Peter Andre have admitted they are house-hunting in the US.

The pair, who are currently in LA launching TV careers, told GMTV’s Carla Romano they have already started viewing homes so they have somewhere to live if they strike it lucky Stateside.

"We’ve been looking at houses but we’ve got to see what happens, you can’t run before you walk," said Jordan. "If it’s big, we’ll find a house and then a school and do Britain and America."

The star, who admits she’s in the US because she wants to "conquer the world", says the pair have had a great response across the pond - particularly from the paparazzi.

"As soon as we leave this house, they just follow you. I’m not saying just two or three, I’m on about 30 paps at a time, it’s crazy," said the model.

"In the shops they’re all at the windows and even when we’re crossing the street, you have to push the button and wait for the hand, and we’re crossing the road with all these paps, it must look really surreal!"

Although Jordan is rumoured to have had a falling out with Victoria Beckham, she added that she’d happily meet her for a cup of tea when Posh and her hubby David move to LA this summer.

"Yeah, I had a nose job about six years ago," he told Star magazine. "It was only a small amount though. If you look at the old pictures of me, you’ll never see any side shots, they’re always front on!"

Promoting his autobiography Peter Andre: All About Us, the one-time pop star said he also used to have problems with depression.
