Pete back in court on drugs charges - July 3 2007
Troubled singer Pete Doherty is due to appear in court today charged with possessing a class A drug.
The musician was stopped in a car by officers in Kensington High Street, central London on Saturday May 5.
He was arrested and held at a west London police station before being bailed.
Pete, 28, has appeared in court on a number of drug offences over the past nine months and was praised in April by a judge for "more than co-operating" in his struggle to beat his addiction to illegal substances.
The comments were made by District Judge Jane McIvor when the Babyshambles frontman and beau of Kate Moss appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court in east London for a review of a drug treatment order.
He is due to appear at West London Magistrates Court where he is expected to enter a plea.
Pete’s diaries reveal wedding plans - June 22 2007
Pete Doherty plans to marry girlfriend Kate Moss this summer providing he is "smack and needle-free".
The troubled Babyshambles singer, who is battling drug addiction, makes the revelation in his newly published diaries.
The diaries - extracts from which are in today’s Times newspaper - give an insight into his tempestuous relationship with the Croydon-born supermodel and detail their violent rows.
Pete writes during a spell in rehab earlier this year that "smack and needle-free we shall marry in the summer and I become 10 times happier than any given smackhead. Huzzah!"
There has been speculation for several months about whether Pete, 28, and Kate, 33, will tie the knot.
Earlier this year it was rumoured the loved-up couple - who have been romancing on and off since 2005 - had exchanged vows during a holiday in Bali. However, the pair later denied they had got married.
Pete gagged over wedding and drugs chat - June 14 2007
It sounds like Kate Moss wears the trousers in her relationship with Pete Doherty.
The troubled singer is due to appear on Jonathan Ross’s chat show next week - but Kate has reportedly banned him from talking about their wedding plans.
And the singer must also keep any talk about drugs to a minimum, according to The Sun.
A source told the newspaper: "Pete’s last interview was a brilliant success. He really opened up to Jonathan. But this time he and Kate are a proper item - and she’s worried what he might blurt out.
"She’s given him rules on what not to talk about. The wedding is absolutely off limits."
In a frank TV interview with Jonathan last year, Pete said of his and Kate’s turbulent relationship: "It’s right and wrong, up and down. She said, ’Give up smack, and never go on Jonathan Ross again!’.
"She’s had enough, I think. I love her bones, I always will."
He also said: "Being clean means I can sit down and rediscover writing. My song-writing suffered, being on drugs."
The programme showing Jonathan’s next interview with Pete will be broadcast on BBC One on June 22.
The following day, he will perform with Babyshambles at Glastonbury.

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).
Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.
Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.
It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.
Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
