Pete Doherty
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: Hexham, England, 12 March 2020
- Associated with: Kate Moss
The troubled Babyshambles rocker - who split from the catwalk queen earlier this year - reportedly told the Daily Star: "The two or three people I’ve really loved, and who loved me, have never really appreciated my music.
"It’s really annoying. My songs just don’t touch them.
"That said, in a sense it ought to be a good thing because you know they’re not with you because of your music. But it’s also a bit sad. Never mind the energy I was able to put into the songs, it was without effect."
Asked if Kate liked his tracks, the 28-year-old, who has been in rehab in Wiltshire for the past month, apparently told the paper: "No, she never liked them."
Bizarrely, in the group’s new album Shotter’s Nation, Kate received co-writing credits on four of the tracks.
Pete interviews Macca? - Sept 28 2007
Pete Doherty has apparently had a heart-to-heart with legendary former Beatle Paul McCartney.
The troubled Babyshambles frontman was reportedly given special permission to leave the rehab clinic where he is being treated, to interview his idol for the Observer Music Monthly.
A friend of the singer told the Daily Mirror: "He was overwhelmed by meeting Macca. They had a real heart-to-heart."
The source added: "They spoke about everything from music, other singers and even touched on the subject of women - but that was strictly between the two of them.
"Macca has got a sense of fun, and was willing to give anything a try. He’s really supportive of young bands... He was well up for letting a fellow muso interview him.
"Pete didn’t sleep the night before the interview just thinking about what he’d say to the legend when they actually came face to face."
Pete reunited with dad? - Sept 25 2007
Pete Doherty has apparently been reunited with his army major dad for the first time in three years.
The father and son reportedly met at the Clouds House rehab centre in Wiltshire, where Pete has been battling drug addictions for the past month, along with his four-year-old son Astile.
Pete’s manager Andy Boyd told The Sun: "He has realised the important things in his life. He wants to be a father to his son - and a son to his father. He sees a future without drugs."
It was said to be the first time the Babyshambles frontman, 28, his son and his dad Peter, 52, had all been together.
Pete’s dad had apparently vowed not to see his son again until he had beaten his addictions.
The singer is due to leave rehab next month and will reportedly quit his London home.
A friend told the paper: "He wants to avoid the temptations. He’s looking for a country house."
Pete to star in reality show? - Sept 13 2007
Pete Doherty has apparently been offered the opportunity to manage his own football team for a new reality TV show.
The troubled Babyshambles singer, 28, is rumoured to be in talks to film a reality series in which he would create a footy team called Doherty FC, The Sun reports.
The singer, who is a huge fan of Queens Park Rangers, would be given the chance to hire and fire young amateur players in the show as they played against similar teams.
"When I was a boy, I couldn’t imagine anything other than living near Loftus Road, where Rangers play," Kate Moss’s ex has apparently said in the past.
A source told the paper the football show could be just the thing to keep the star "on the straight and narrow".
The insider added: "He loves football, so this could be just the tonic."

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).
Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.
Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.
It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.
Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
