Pete Doherty has been warned that he faces jail if he drives without a licence again.

The 27-year-old star appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court charged with driving without insurance and an appropriate licence.

Several young female fans watched from the gallery as the singer admitted both charges.

The charges related to an incident on November 18 when officers saw the Babyshambles frontman driving his blue Jaguar rapidly in east London.

Tanyia Dogra, prosecuting, said: "On November 18 Mr Doherty was driving the blue Jaguar in question. He was asked to produce the documents and he could not do so."

Sean Curran, defending, said: "Mr Doherty accepts that he was driving with no licence and insurance. He had left the task of getting an insurance policy in the hands of one of his managers, who hadn’t done so.

"He has passed a driving test but he has never applied for a licence. He doesn’t have a licence, or has ever had one, but he is entitled to have one."

He added: "He was driving to the airport for a trip to Portugal to get an implant."

The singer was fined a total of £300 and was banned from driving for two months. He was also ordered to pay £55 costs.

District judge Jane McIvor warned him: "If you drive a vehicle before [April 12] you risk at least a community judgment or, with your record, a likely custodial sentence."

Two other driving-related charges were withdrawn.

It seems Pete Doherty has been seen crying on the shoulder of his ex Lisa Moorish after yet another row with Kate.

The 27-year-old Babyshambles frontman has a three-year-old son with Lisa and says if it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t still be alive.

His cry for help comes after a series of rows with his supermodel girlfriend - who has said she just wants to be friends with him, reports The Daily Star.

A source said: "Pete is seriously gutted that Kate has decided she only wants to be chums with him from now on.

"He has turned to the people closest to him and one of them is Lisa.

"She has brought up their son Astile to be an amazing little fella and Pete looks up to Lisa with much respect.

"He has admitted that without friends like Lisa he doubts he’d be alive. He has called her several times and told her he doesn’t think he can ever get over Kate."

Kate Moss may be one of the most beautiful celebrities in the world but apparently she still has insecurities when it comes to her man.

It seems the model has banned Pete Doherty from attending the Brit Awards because she’s jealous of his friendship with Lily Allen, reports the Daily Mirror.

And she apparently issued the order even before yesterday’s reports that the mouthy singer had finally decided to attend the awards ceremony.

A source told the paper the ban came after she found out about a gift from Lily which Pete hadn’t told her about.

They said: "Kate went ballistic and kept shouting about why he had kept the thing from Lily after all these months. Pete insisted that she was being paranoid, they were just mates.

"But Kate was having none of it and said that there was no way that Pete was going to the Brits if Lily was going - especially as she wasn’t going herself.

"Pete was gutted as he was looking forward to it."
