The model also spoke about why she’d decided to go to court after photos of her attending a Narcotics Anonymous meeting were printed.
She said: "It’s like you have to think of the other people that were there. ’Oh my god, it’s meant to be anonymous; we’re not going to NA meetings now’ and they could die.
"I’m an addictive personality, of course I am, and I’ve relapsed a few times on alcohol and I’ve gone back and forth, back and forth a lot."
Naomi gets mad again - but only for ad - July 18 2007
Naomi Campbell gets angry and throws a tantrum again - but this time, she’s being paid to do so.
The supermodel gets to unleash her legendary hot-headed personality for a new advert for Dunkin’ Donuts, which is directed by Scrubs and Garden State’s Zach Braff.
In the ad, after breaking her heel while doing a spot of gardening, she proceeds to beat up a tree and throw a rock through a window before being placated with some iced tea.
What that has to do with donuts is anyone’s guess, but at least the ad shows that Naomi has a sense of humour.
Her real-life temper losses haven’t always been such a laugh. In January this year, the model pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless assault against her maid Ana Scolavino.
Naomi was sentenced to five days community service which involved mopping floors at New York’s Sanitation Department.
She was also ordered to attend two days of an anger management course and had to pay medical bills to Mrs Scolavino who needed four stitches after the incident.
Naomi settles assault claim - June 14 2007
Naomi Campbell has settled a case with a former US employee who claims the British supermodel abused her verbally and physically across three continents.
The settlement of the lawsuit by Amanda Brack, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, came to light yesterday when Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Emily Jane Goodman issued a brief order granting dismissal of the case.
The judge’s order said only that "the action has settled and been discontinued" according to the lawyers’ agreement dated April 27.
No settlement terms were disclosed, and lawyers for the pair did not immediately return telephone calls last night.
Ms Brack sued the model in July 2006 for unspecified money damages, accusing her of assault, battery, false imprisonment and infliction of emotional distress. The 21-year-old’s papers said the alleged abusive incidents started a month after she began working for Naomi in February 2005.
The lawsuit was filed while the 36-year-old star was in plea negotiations with Manhattan prosecutors about an assault charge where she was accused of throwing a mobile phone at an employee.
Brack’s lawyer, Gerald McCarthy, has said his client and Naomi first met in Paris in a nightclub ladies’ room where the model was upset about a "costume malfunction". He said Brack helped and impressed the model, who then asked Brack to work for her.

She was raised by her grandparents since her mother, the ambitious Valerie, was making her way around the world with an exotic dance troupe. At 13, precocious Naomi started at the Italia Conti stage school. Two years later she was ’discovered’ in Covent Garden by a modelling scout.
Recently, she has been seeking anger therapy - her American agency fired her on the grounds that she was ’unbearable’ and published the following statement: ’No amount of money or prestige could further justify the abuse she has imposed on our staff and clients.’ She recently pleaded guilty to assaulting her assistant with the mobile phone she normally keeps clamped to her ear. Naomi had a top 10 hit with Babywoman in Japan and has a reputation for being always late.
She has been romanced by a string of men including Mike Tyson, Robert De Niro, Joaquin Cortes and was rumoured to have had a fling with Joseph Fiennes. She is currently dating Italian millionaire Flavio Briatore.
As well as modelling and a stab at a music career she has also penned a novel entitled Swan (1995) and has appeared in the film Pret-a-Porter, she also appeared in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous and once was a pupil in Grange Hill. Naomi has also just launched her own perfume. She also has an apartment in Chelsea. (written 2001)
