Naomi Campbell has been left with an estimated ?750,000 in legal costs after the court of appeal judged that the Daily Mirror was justified in publishing a picture of the model leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in February 2001.

In an earlier trial another court had found in favour of Campbell. However, the appeal court said that, because Campbell has previously denied drug-taking in interviews, the pictures were necessary to verify the paper’s story.

’We consider that the detail that was given, and indeed the photographs, were a legitimate, if not an essential, part of the journalistic package designed to demonstrate that Ms Campbell had been deceiving the public when she said that she did not take drugs,’ the court said.

Daily Mirror editor, Piers Morgan, said, ’This is a wake-up call to all celebrities queuing up to take on the media.’ Campbell has been denied permission to appeal to the House of Lords.

Naomi Campbell’s latest venture is a lifestyle-branding and event planning firm, which she says promises to put "important people, exotic places and magnificent things together". She has gone into partnership with her close friend Desiree Ejoh and Claudine Dematos of NY-based PR firm Whisper PR.

The company, has already bagged the Amir Slama-designed Brazilian swimwear label Rosa Cha as its first client, and will will launch itself into with yes you’re guessed it a party in the ultra-stylish Man Ray club on September 19.

Naomi Campbell has announced that she and her latest beau are married. She told an Italian magazine that she and the young Italian model Enrique Palacio have secretly tied the knot.
Both have been spotted wearing rings on their wedding finger, but then again, Naomi is known for calling all her men her husband. Naomi’s publicist claims that the feisty model calls all her boyfriends ’my husband’ only if she loves them. Of course.

BBC2 is set to air a documentary on the temperamental supermodel. It follows the rise of the supermodel from being scouted by an agency to appearing on the front cover of Vogue magazine.
