However, Naomi’s lawyers are countersuing Burton, claiming that she began the fight and are fighting Craig’s case.

Naomi wins court case - May 04
The High Court of appeals ruled that model Naomi Campbell’s privacy WAS invaded by The Mirror newspaper printing photographs of her being treated for drug addiction.

Naomi challenged the appeal to her winning the first court case in 2002 (believe me this has gone on for a long, long time). The case has cost both sides more than a million, although even now it may not be the end, as The Mirror might appeal against the appeal, although who can be possibly left to appeal to is anyone’s guess.

This ruling could be a landmark for celebrities, as the press may be restricted in what they can print about celebrities’ private lives. The ruling said that pictures can be taken in a public street as Britain is a free society, but problems can arise if it is offensive to make these pictures public. Heat magazine, take note.

The statuesque beauty appeared at the House of Lords with her lawyer Andrew Caldicott to contest a court decision to strip her of ?3500 damages, originally awarded to her when the tabloid published photos of her visiting a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
