Leggy Nadine has been dating the Desperate Housewives hunk for several months, but the fact that she lives in the UK and Jesse lives in Los Angeles is thought to have put a strain on their relationship.

"Nadine and Jesse have such heavy workloads they aren’t spending enough time together, and their relationship is suffering," a source told Closer magazine.

"Jesse won’t move to London because his career has really taken off in the US, with lots of film roles coming up, and Nadine knows she has a difficult choice to make."

The source added: "She doesn’t know what to do, but it’s likely she’ll make the sacrifice and move even though she loves her life in the UK."

Earlier this month it was reported Nadine and Jesse had split, but they were spotted locking lips at an airport this week.

Hunky Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe is back on the market after splitting with his girlfriend Nadine Coyle, The Sun reports.

The US star and Girls Aloud singer Nadine, who is Irish, have apparently called it a day because work commitments kept them apart.

Jesse and Nadine - who started dating eight months ago - had both been jetting across the Atlantic to make their long-distance romance last but decided their relationship had no future unless one of them sacrificed their career.

"They had a tearful phone conversation at the start of the week and called it a day," a friend told the paper.

"They have both been flying to spend a few days with each other between work commitments. But it has not been easy."

Nadine is currently promoting Girls Aloud’s greatest hits album and has a packed work schedule right through until 2008.

Jesse is filming Loaded alongside Vinnie Jones in LA and is fast becoming one of the hottest young actors in the US.

The pair had discussed buying a house in LA but Nadine has concluded she is not ready to put her singing career to one side, the source added.

Biography

Nadine Elizabeth Louise Coyle was born in Derry, Northern Ireland on June 15 1985. She first had a taste of fame on the Irish version of Popstars but on being selected for winners’ band Six accidentaly admitted on camera that she had lied about her age. At just 16 she was deemed too young to take part and was booted from the band.

However while Six disbanded and each member faded in to obscurity Nadine auditioned for the British Popstars: The Rivals. Selected for girl band Girls Aloud, as one of the stand out performers of the series, she joined Cheryl Tweedy, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts in releasing Sound of the Underground under the management of Louis Walsh. The single hit the number one spot and the rest is pop history.

Often seen as the ’voice’ of Girls Aloud Nadine’s face and body have been noticed too and she regularly appears in Sexiest Female polls, a fact that must gaul ex boyfriend Neil McCafferty. The pair were together when Nadine auditioned for Popstars however, they split when the work schedule put pressure on the relationship. However Nadine was never going to remain single for long and in 2006 hooked up with Desperate Housewives’ randy gardener Jesse Metcalfe. The apparently besotted couple split in November of the same year but were soon back together and talking about moving in together in LA to make their relationship work.
