Marc Bannerman
- Profession: Actor
- Place/Date of Birth: Dublin, Ireland, 15 August 2020
- Associated with: Cerys Matthews, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here
The former EastEnders actor had been cosying up to fellow jungle celebrity Cerys Matthews during his stint in the reality show but will now have to face the wrath of his long-term girlfriend.
Actress Sarah Matravers had flown to Australia to sort out the ex-soap star but returned home before the eviction because it was too distressing to see him flirting on television.
Presenters Ant and Dec strode into camp to deliver the results of the first public vote and told the contestants it was between ex-Apprentice star Katie Hopkins and Marc.
The group reacted with shock when they announced the EastEnders actor was the one getting the chop from the series, and he promptly enveloped Cerys in a bear hug.
Other celebrities could be heard saying: "I thought he was going to win" as he repeatedly whispered "don’t worry" in the Catatonia singer’s ear.
Marc’s girl furious over flirting - Nov 20 2007
The girlfriend of I’m A Celebrity star Marc Bannerman has revealed she is devastated by the former EastEnders actor’s behaviour.
Sarah Matravers flew to Australia to discover Marc, 34, has been getting increasingly cosy with Cerys Matthews.
The 33-year-old said: "My life is on hold right now - I want to throttle him, I want to cut off his kangaroo balls. Marc and I live together and we have a proper life together, so of course I’m worried.
"I made a big joke out of it at the beginning of the week but this has gone on long enough. It’s upsetting. I hear they’ve been sharing quite a lot.
"She’s been serenading him and I hear he sang, There May Be Trouble Ahead - well there might be now."
Sarah and Marc have been dating for two years.
She continued: "Before Marc entered the jungle, he told the press: ’I’m not looking for love, I’m loved up with my girlfriend’. I have been reading that quote over and over."
Romance hotting up in the jungle? - Nov 15 2007
Romance appears to be brewing between Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
Former EastEnder Marc, who already has a girlfriend, has been continuing to flirt with the ex-Catatonia star.
The pair sat on the singer’s bed and shared a cigarette as the rest of the campers slept.
After they finished smoking, Marc gazed up into Cerys’s eyes.
When they decided to get some sleep, he leaned over and gave the divorced Welsh star a kiss before going to his own bed.
The ITV jungle show contestants have also commented on the chemistry between ex-5ive star Jason ’J’ Brown and Gemma Atkinson, with Janice Dickinson saying: "They make a great couple ... he’s besotted."
The seventies supermodel also got in on the act, helping to wash and scrub J, while saying: "You’re so sexy, your body’s great."
