Marc Bannerman

Marc Bannerman

Filmed arriving at his hotel and seeing his clothes hung up by his girlfriend Sarah Matravers, the former EastEnder said: "Is this where she’s been staying? There’s her dressing gown, and she’s done my stuff. I can’t even look at myself."

Later, he watched clips of himself and Cerys, saying: "I feel sick, I feel for her (Sarah) man, watching that. I feel really stupid.

"There wasn’t any relationship between us in any kind of way, anyway I can see why Sarah went home."

He also told former campmate Katie Hopkins after the eviction: "I’ve been caught on camera saying I love Cerys." Asked if he meant it, he replied: "I don’t know".

Cerys has returned home and wouldn’t divulge whether she planned to meet Marc. She has said she’d been upset he didn’t meet her in Australia after her eviction.

She said: "I was disappointed because I’d had that letter saying he might come back. I wouldn’t be honest if I said otherwise.

"I loved being with him - it was a pleasure to get to know such a lovely human being."

Footage of the campers after they left the jungle will be screened today (Tuesday).

Marc breaks promise to Cerys? - Nov 28 2007

There could be trouble in paradise for jungle pair Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews, as Marc has apparently gone back on his promise to meet Cerys when she leaves the camp.

Marc, 34, who flew back to London to face his actress girlfriend Sarah Matravers after he was booted off the ITV1 reality show, had written a letter to Cerys offering to fly back out to see her.

But an ITV spokeswoman confirmed he had changed his mind, before the romance had even begun: "The last thing we heard is that he’s not going back out there. We would have liked him to go out there, but his reasons are personal. He is recording a video message for Cerys."

Meanwhile, it seems Marc’s relationship with Sarah is well and truly over, after she was spotted moving out of their north London home on Tuesday, reports the Daily Mirror.

A witness was quoted as saying: "Sarah came out with a burly man who looked like he could be a bodyguard. Then a number of guys started taking stuff out... It looked like the house will be pretty empty after everything got loaded up."

Marc was reported to be lying low with a friend in Essex.

Marc and Cerys’ private moments? - Nov 26 2007

John Burton Race has apparently claimed that Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman got a lot closer on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here than viewers were allowed to see.

The TV chef, who was booted out of the jungle on Saturday, said the loved-up pair would sneak away from camp to talk out of sight of the cameras, reports the Daily Star.

John, 50, said: "There were times when the pair disappeared off together. I have to say that. There are things the viewers wouldn’t have seen or heard in there. Relationships are formed. And if you want to talk privately you put your hand over your mic."

He added: "There are periods when you can disappear for private conversations. I did it. I’m not sure if I got away with it. But I confided in Katie more than I probably should have done."
