Lindsay Lohan
- Profession: Actress
- Place/Date of Birth: New York, 02 July 2020
"Unlike other celebrities in the news going to jail, she’s actually somebody who has got verifiable talent and actually good at what she does," he told People magazine.
But while he is confident that Hollywood will accept the young starlet in the future, he says she needs to get her act together.
"I’m certainly not going to be seeking her out until she gets her personal life in order. On a business level, most companies aren’t going to want to take the chance making a movie with someone who is unreliable."
He adds: "I think eventually, because she is good, she will get around to working again. She’s still so young. She’s only 21."
Li-Lo’s car chase caught on phone - July 27 2007
Minutes before Lindsay Lohan’s arrest, the mother of her former personal assistant made an emergency call to police, pleading frantically for help over a mysterious car following her - unaware that the actress was at the wheel.
Details of the call emerged as an audio copy was released.
The star’s PA had resigned hours before the incident, according to police.
The arrest is the latest blunder besetting the troubled 21-year-old, who had just left rehab again, this time with an alcohol-monitoring device strapped prominently to her ankle.
The Mean Girls star was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence and with a suspended licence, and cocaine possession.
"We were just about to park our car. We are turning home and out of nowhere a huge white GMC came up," the woman said to the police dispatcher during the call, which lasted nearly three minutes.
"We’re being followed by a GMC ... the gentleman jumped out of the car," she said a few seconds later. "Oh my God, sir, they’re following us. We need help."
Police said the driver and her passenger drove into a car park about a block away from California’s Santa Monica Police Department, followed by Lindsay driving a sport utility vehicle.
During the call, the woman could be heard saying: "Oh my God, what is he doing?" Near the end, hysterical, but muffled, yelling and screaming is heard.
Authorities who arrived saw the actress and the woman in what police have called a "heated debate".
They also revealed two men were with in the car with Lindsay.
Li-Lo denies drug possession - July 25 2007
Lindsay Lohan insists she is innocent of the charges against her, after being arrested just two weeks after coming out of rehab.
The star was released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of felony cocaine possession and misdemeanour driving under the influence and with a suspended licence.
"I am innocent... did not do drugs, they’re not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin’s mom. I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy," the 21-year-old actress wrote in an email to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush, the entertainment TV show reported on its website.
Police found cocaine in one of the star’s pockets during a pre-booking search, Sgt Shane Talbot said. Police initially said the actress was also being booked for investigation of transporting a narcotic but later said she was not.
The authorities received an emergency call from the mother of Lindsay’s former personal assistant saying that the 21-year-old was chasing her in a sport utility vehicle, said Lt Alex Padilla. The assistant had quit hours before, he said.
The authorities found Li-Lo and the woman in a "heated debate" in the parking lot of Santa Monica’s Civic Auditorium.
