Li-Lo Goes Tanning - Aug 16 2007
Wild child Lindsay Lohan has apparently taken a controversial break from her third stint in rehab - to get a tan.
According to US website Hollywood Extra, the actress was spotted leaving Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehab centre, and going to the Beaches Tanning Salon.
It seems Li-Lo brought some spray-on tan and was photographed smiling before she headed back to the Mormon-run centre.
However, her dad Michael Lohan was none to happy to hear of the latest developments surrounding his daughter.
"Does Betty Ford let its people out? Absolutely not," he told the website. "I’m upset about this. They should never let any patient out."
US website TMZ.com reports that Lindsay has been a "model patient" since checking into the Utah facility on August 2, attending every meeting, working with psychologists and even agreeing to take on menial tasks like washing dishes, doing laundry and cleaning toilets.
The actress is back in rehab following her arrest for allegedly driving under the influence in Los Angeles on July 24.
Lindsay ’raced through city at 100mph’ - July 30 2007
A lawyer for two men who say they were unwilling passengers on Lindsay Lohan’s wild ride through Santa Monica says he hopes to resolve the case without hauling the actress into court.
Randall Billington said Dante Nigro and Jakon Sutter pleaded with the star to stop as she raced along California’s Pacific Coast Highway at 100mph before dawn on Tuesday.
The lawyer is also representing Ronnie Blake, who says the 21-year-old actress, drove Nigro’s sport-utility vehicle over his foot as she raced off with the car.
"Some people think a discussion should begin with, ’I’ll see you in court’. I don’t believe that," said Billington, adding that he hoped the situation could be resolved amicably.
He also expressed concern for Lindsay’s well-being - the star was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and cocaine possession at the end of the ride.
"From my clients’ point of view, they want to see a good outcome to that story for her," he said.
Lindsay’s lawyer and publicist did not respond to calls and emails and Santa Monica police declined to comment.
In a video interview posted on the TMZ.com before they retained a lawyer, Nigro said they were invited to a party with the Mean Girls actress by a friend.
At the party, Lindsay’s personal assistant got into an argument with her boyfriend and then with the actress, before she announced she was quitting and left.
The star then snatched his keys, he said, jumped into the driver’s seat and gave chase.
He said: "She says, ’I can’t get in trouble, I’m a celebrity, I can do whatever the **** I want’."
Lindsay could bounce back - July 27 2007
Critics laughing at the aptness of the title of Lindsay Lohan’s new film, I Know Who Killed Me, could soon be biting back their chuckles.
Mark Waters, director of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, insists that the 21-year-old’s acting dream hasn’t died a death, and that her talent will pull her through despite her personal troubles.
