Get ready for Lohan mark two - Nov 23 2006
Headline-grabber Lindsay Lohan might only be 20, but it turns out she’s not the youngest talent in her family.
Lindsay’s little sister Ali, is now following in her big sister’s footsteps by launching her own music career - despite being just 12 years old.
"I recorded a song when I was 10, but now my voice sounds a lot older and deeper, like Lindsay’s," says the precocious tween in an interview with Star magazine.
Having just recorded her first album, a collection of Christmas songs entitled Lohan Holiday, Ali reckons performing is in her blood.
"I’ve always watched Lindsay record albums and work on movies, and I wanted to one day do what she did," she says.
Set to celebrate her 13th birthday on December 22, Ali says the only thing she wants for Christmas this year is a visit from her big sis, admitting that the Mean Girls star is often away from home "doing movies and stuff."
Still, when the two get together, Ali claims Lindsay often turns to her kid sister for advice.
"She’ll be like, ’Do you think your friends will like this outfit?’," says Ali.
Looking spookily like a young Lindsay, Ali shrugs off the obvious comparisons, saying, "Well, of course I’m going to be known in the beginning as Lindsay Lohan’s little sister. But when I get older, you want your own name. I’m Ali!"
And, like any fledgling star worth her salt, Ali already has her own website, www.alilohanmusic.com
Bracelet blushes for Li-Lo - Nov 20 2006
Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan has apparently had to cough up £20,000 after losing the bracelet she wore to the World Music Awards in
Lindsay was lent the diamond-encrusted bangle by Cartier to wear while she hosted the ceremony.
But when the posh jewellery shop asked for it back, Lindsay admitted she couldn’t find it, the Sun reports.
The Mean Girls actress ended up writing Cartier a cheque for £20,000 to compensate.
The Sun quotes an insider as saying: "It was an embarrassment. Lindsay couldn’t find it anywhere and was trying to stall for time to see if she could dig it out.
"She had been loaned the jewellery in good faith for her presenting gig at the World Music Awards on Wednesday.
"The plan was always to return the bracelet after, which seemed to have slipped her mind."
The source explained: "She had a string of pals coming in and out of her room as well as security, management and hotel staff tending to regular requests.
"The room was turned upside down and fingers were being pointed at various people for it going missing."
The wild child star reportedly refused to speak to Cartier directly, and after writing out the hefty cheque at the Sanderson Hotel on Saturday, left it to her management to explain.

Born to a wealthy family Lindsay was nonetheless put to work from an early age. At three she was signed to a modelling agency and quickly built up a portfolio of work with the likes of Toys R Us and Calvin Klein Kids. As a teen she appeared in numerous magazines such as Elle Girl and Bliss and in television commercials for Jell-O among others.
At ten years of age Lindsay bagged a role on American soap Another World which she soon abandoned when offered a big screen part in the remake of The Parent Trap in which she played twins. The part brought her to the attention of filmmakers throughout Hollywood and ensured future parts would roll on in.
Made for TV movies and a short lived sitcom part followed before Lindsay, then sixteen, was offered another cult remake - Freaky Friday - alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Two further teen flicks followed, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and the Clueless-esque Mean Girls. The success of the two movies cemented Lindsay’s status as Teen Queen. Closely followed by Herbie: Fully Loaded Lindsay hoped to make the transition to adult film star smoothly however 2006’s Just My Luck was not well received. More serious roles are set to follow in Georgia Rule, Speechless, A Woman of No Importance and The Best Time of Our Lives.
As well as acting Lindsay had taken the opportunity to showcase her musical skills in her films and before long she was taken under the wing of Mariah Carey’s ex Tommy Mottola. Her debut album, Speak, was released in 2004 with the single Rumours earning critical acclaim. 2005’s A Little More Personal included a dramatically intimate track aimed at her father who had spent much of Lindsay’s life in prison. She is currently working on a third album.
Since 2003 Lindsay has been regular tabloid fodder beginning with a rumoured feud with fellow teen actress Hilary Duff. Her weight has been a serious issue, with the actress admitting that she had ’nearly died’, before dedicating herself to getting her shape back. She has also gained the reputation of girl about town, partying hard with the likes of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton whilst dealing with a run of bad luck which has included three car crashes and some rumoured illnesses.
