It seems Jennifer Ellison loves being single and is enjoying being chatted up by men.

The blonde - who played Emily O'Leary in Brookie until 2003 - told The Sun: "When I was in the relationship I was never chatted up by guys but now all that's changed.

"It's made me feel really attractive and nice. It's been good for my ego. Having someone cheat on you and having a relationship that ends so badly, you really need that."

The 24-year-old split from long-term boyfriend Tony Richardson earlier this year - and has also previously admitted that he was violent towards her.

She is now taking time to be by herself and says she isn't in a hurry to settle down again.

"I've been in a relationship for a long time so I'm not on the lookout for another man yet," she explained.

"But what's happened hasn't put me off men. If one came along I wouldn't go, 'No, I don't want to meet anyone else.' If it happens, it happens."

Jennifer Ellison has reportedly spoken about the steamy shenanigans that went on behind the scenes of her new reality show, Time Of Your Life, which is based on smash hit movie Dirty Dancing.

The former Brookside babe is among the judges of the talent quest, and admits there was more than one romance going on between the wannabes.

She told The Sun: "There were loads and loads of romances. Everyone was very sexy, very fit and things got very hot.

"The lads, walking around in their vests, were gorgeous."

But the Chicago actress, who was herself a reality TV contestant on Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen in 2004, added that her time on the show wasn’t always easy.

She was responsible for mentoring the dance hopefuls, and said she had to grow a thick skin when it came to booting people off the show.

"I couldn’t have favourites, and it broke my heart to see some of them leave," she confessed.

"I was their judge and mentor, so I had to be professional. Some of the nicest people got booted off but it’s just all about talent."

The Time Of Your Life follows the search for a real life Baby and Johnny, the lead characters from Dirty Dancing.

The show is set to hit our screens next month, courtesy of digital channel Living TV.


Jen dumps fiance? - July 30 2007
Jennifer Ellison has reportedly dumped her fiance Tony Richardson after discovering her had cheated on her.

The 24-year-old blonde had dated the sunbed salesman for six years - but was apparently left devastated after learning of his secret fling with John Terry’s ex, Shalimar Wimble.

She told the Daily Star: "My relationship with Tony Richardson is over. He has betrayed me in the worst possible way. This girl is welcome to him. I hope they are both very happy."

It seems friends have said they are glad that Jen, who had a starring role in the Phantom Of The Opera film, has finally called a halt to the rocky relationship.

The leggy glamour girl stood by him after he spent three months behind bars for motoring offences and the couple were even shot at in their home town of Croxeth, Liverpool.

Her mum Jane, added: "Thank God he is out of her life at last. She has loyally stood by him over the years and he has rubbed her face in it.

"She was even there waiting for him, when he came out of jail, and this is how he repays her."
