Representatives for Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers allege Forever 21 is selling products with a design that is "virtually indistinguishable" from a heart logo used by Gwen’s brand -- with "Harajuku" simply changed to "Forever" and "Lovers" to "Love."
Not only are they seeking monetary damages but also a share of Forever 21’s profits and gains, over claims it has devalued the design.
As a result of the chain using a similar image, Gwen’s company is claiming it has allegedly "suffered and continues to suffer damage to its business reputation."
The accessory line was originally launched back in 2005 to coincide with Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers Tour.
New Album? No Doubt! - June 8 2007
No Doubt have revealed they are heading to the studio to record their first album for six years - but singer Gwen Stefani won’t be joining them.
The rest of the band - Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont - will begin recording next week, but Gwen is still on a solo tour following the release of her album The Sweet Escape. Fans needn’t worry that the singer’s distinctive voice will be missing from the new material, as drummer Adrian told Rolling Stone that she’ll record lyrics at a later date.
"The three of us are going to lay down some songs with music only," he said. "When she gets done with the tour we’ll all be there to do it. We’ve probably got four albums’ worth of ideas demoed."
He added that the new material would be "unlike anything else we’ve ever made", and that the album would be ready in 2008.

"I have dreamed about spending time in my house with my kids. Being a mum was all I ever dreamed about.
"Now that it has come true it makes me feel like my life has come together. Nothing else matters.
"A few years from now I’ll be older and it may be harder to have children."
The star, who is married to ex-Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, added: "It’s incredible having a baby come out of your body.
"Although when I first held him I remember wondering who this baby was because he did not look like me.
"Apparently that’s normal when they’re just minutes old. I adore him."

However, in 1987 Spence committed suicide and Gwen was left to take over as the band’s only vocalist, a role which she juggled with college studies and a romance with Kanal. No Doubt gained a solid following in the local area and when Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Flea recorded a demo for the band it was only a matter of time before they signed a deal.
Although their eponymous debut album and the follow up, The Beacon Street Collection, were seen as something of a failure by their record company, No Doubt’s third try, Tragic Kingdom (recorded without Eric, who had left to become an animator on The Simpsons), became a hit thanks mostly to stand out single Don’t Speak It was at this time that the rest of the band were pushed to the sidelines as the press and public focused increasingly on Gwen who, having split with Tony, was romantically linked with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.
Two more albums followed the success of Tragic Kingdom – Return of Saturn and Rock Steady – but it was Gwen the world was interested in as she dueted with rapper Eve, featured on Moby’s Southside and married Gavin in a 2002 ceremony in London. While No Doubt took a break Gwen hooked up with writer Linda Perry and a house-full of collaborators for her debut solo album Love Angel Music Baby, which sold millions on the strength of the fantastic What You Waiting For?
While Gwen’s professional life was on the up – she launched L.A.M.B, her own clothing range and appeared in Martin Scorcese’s The Aviator as silver screen icon Jean Harlow – her personal life seemed to be taking a turn for the worse when it was revealed that her husband had a secret lovechild with tabloid favourite Pearl Lowe (she of the Sadie/Jude wife swapping revelations). However Gwen has vowed to stand by her man and is even talking of starting a family of her own…we just hope parenthood doesn’t stop her wearing those fantastic fairytale outfits in public.
