Gordon Ramsay
- Profession: Celebrity chef
- Place/Date of Birth: Johnstone, Scotland, 08 November 2020
The foul mouthed cook has taken his Hell?s Kitchen formula to the US and by all accounts is making quite an impression. Twelve contestants are competing to win an LA restaurant and thanks to Gordon are getting a taste of Britain ? he?s even teaching them such delightful English terms as ?plank? and ?turd? while tuning them in to the delights of Ramsay restaurant running.
While producers were initially concerned that Gordon?s colourful language would have US audiences turning off their screens in disgust it would seem that he is as f**king successful over there as he is here, taking the ratings well beyond expenctation.
Gord’s TV ban April - 05
Gordon Ramsay bans his kids from watching his TV shows.
Apparently the grumpy chef has made sure his offspring won’t be picking up his foul mouth by keeping them well away from the latest series of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon has been as cheery as ever (although we can’t blame him looking at the muppets he has to clean up after in the show) and as usual has peppered each episode with a most interesting display of language - some of which even we, worldly types that we are, have never heard before - so it really comes as no surprise that the man himself doesn?t think the series is suitable for the under 18s.
Harriott hatred - March 05
It’s sabatier knives at dawn as Gordon throws down the chefing gauntlet.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has never been a great fan of, well anybody other than himself, so it comes as no surprise that he’s been baiting cheeky Ready Steady Cook presenter Ainsley Harriott, branding him ’a comedian’. Gordon told Heat magazine ’Ainsley’s not a serious chef, he’s a comedian.
In a few years from now he’ll be presenting Stars in Their Eyes.’
Gordon’s queer eye - August 04
Gordon Ramsay has said thanks but no thanks to gay makeover.
The celebrity chef was asked to appear on a special edition episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy UK but has politely turned the offer down. "I’m quite happy with my look and style" Gordon told press "and I’ve got a huge gay following so I must be doing something right!"
Your view of Ramsay - June 04
I have been getting a lot of mail about Gordon Ramsay and his hellish kitchen. It would seem most of you out there have had enough, although he does have some admirers!
(selected emails, others far too rude!)
"I’m addicted to Hell’s Kitchen, best thing on TV for a long time! Gordon is arguably the sexiest man on TV right now (Simon Cowell a close second). For those people moaning about the show, it’s simple..."don’t watch it!". The celebs knew exactly what they were going to be up against, they had training, and if Gordon and his staff were standing over them doing the job for them, what would be the point? They’re doing really well. Mr.Ramsey can shout at me in my kitchen anytime...!!!" Fleur, South Wales

Following his injury Ramsay signed up for catering college, passing with flying colours and going on to work under legendary chefs Marco Pierre White and Albert Roux. After honing his skills in kitchens around the UK and France, Ramsay went on to become a personal chef for an Australian TV star before flying back to London as part owner of Aubergine. But, in true Ramsay style Gordon had a bust up with the backers of Aubergine, causing him to walk out and take his staff with him to form his eponymous restaurant in Chelsea, the only London eatery to gain three Michelin stars.
He has also opened restaurants in Claridges and the Connaught as well as Petrus in Mayfair, Amaryllis in Glasgow and Verre in Dubai. Ramsay is also a TV celebrity, currently starring in Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on Channel 4, a reality TV show which gives the Osbournes a run for it’s money in the ******* **** stakes.
