The murky circumstances surrounding Anna Nicole Smith’s death could become clearer today, when authorities are expected to release the results of the former pin-up’s post mortem.

Police are investigating the starlet’s death because the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino where she was staying when she died is located on tribal land.
Perper’s initial autopsy report was released a day after Anna Nicole’s death, but he said extensive tests were being performed to search for all manner of causes.
Perper’s initial tests found no evidence that the star had taken large amounts of prescription medication.
There were signs of inflammation in Anna Nicole’s heart. Perper said it was "something which looks a little bit unusual" but may be nothing.
There has been speculation of possible criminal activity.
The Seminoles will not comment on their investigation, although they initially said there was no indication that Anna Nicole was the victim of crime.
The star arrived at the Hard Rock on February 5 and planned to leave four days later aboard a new yacht, her companion, Howard Stern, was arranging to buy. She was said to be suffering from stomach flu before she was found dead on February 8.

A judge has ordered for a DNA test to be carried out on Anna Nicole Smith’s baby daughter to identify her father, a lawyer for Smith’s mother said.
Larry Birkhead, an ex-boyfriend of the Playboy playmate who asked the judge to order the test on six-month-old Dannielynn, pumped his fists in the air and jumped up and down as he emerged from the closed hearing.
"I feel great," he said. "It’s been a good day in court for me."
Deborah Rose, a lawyer for Smith’s mother Virgie Arthur, confirmed the judge ordered the test but she and others who attended the hearing declined to describe the proceedings.

The voluptuous blonde, whose sudden death three weeks ago aged 39 echoed that of her lifelong idol Marilyn Monroe, went to her grave wearing a pink beaded gown and tiara. She was apparently clutching an urn containing her dead oil tycoon husband’s ashes.
But a high-drama soap opera atmosphere followed her in death as in life and her funeral only took place after a judge denied her mother Virgie Arthur’s 11th hour request to take Smith’s body to Texas, Island FM radio reported.
Arthur was booed by the crowd outside as she arrived late for the former Playboy model’s typically flamboyant send-off dominated by her favourite colour.

Although she had aspirations to become ’the next Marilyn Monroe’, Vickie began working at Jim’s Krispy Fried Chicken where she met her first husband, Billy Wayne Smith. They married when Vickie was just seventeen. The next year she gave birth to their son Daniel and in 1987 seperated from her husband, finding work as an exotic dancer in Houston.
Whilst working as a stripper she met elderly millionaire J. Howard Marshall, with whom she began a relationship despite the sixty three year age gap. In 1994 the couple married amid much tabloid excitement. Marshall died thirteen months later, leaving nothing to his young wife.
In the interim Vickie, now going by the name Anna Nicole Smith, appeared on the front cover of Playboy, being made Playmate of the Year by Hugh Hefner. She bagged a deal with Guess?, replacing supermodel Claudia Schiffer and finding herself a household name. Meanwhile Anna Nicole battled Marshall’s sons in the courts for her share of her late husbands millions, however she was eventually bankrupted and ordered to pay $1million dollars in fees. She was again given the right to fight for her entitlement following the death of her stepson.
Anna Nicole’s acting career was much less publicised than her marriage, although she appeared in high profile films The Hudsucker Proxy and Naked Gun 33 1/3. Her bigger roles came in smaller films such as To The Limit and Skyscraper and on television, appearing as herself in wacky reality TV series The Anna Nicole Show. She later apeared in Be Cool and Wasabi Tuna.
On September 7 2006 Anna Nicole gave birth to a daughter, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, claiming the father was her lawyer Howard K Stern, although her ex boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, claimed the child as his. Three days later her son, Daniel, died of an apparent drug overdose while visiting his mother and half sister in hospital. Later that same month Anna Nicole and Howard K Stern exchanged vows in a commitment ceremony in the Bahamas.
On February 8 2007, the day after a date for a paternity test on her daughter had been set, Anna Nicole collapsed at a hotel in Florida and later died. An autopsy has yet to determine the cause of death.
