Amirage Caribbean Cuisine
Caribbean Cuisine to your door
The secret of a successful dinner party is spending time with your guests being a great host, Amirage Caribbean Cuisine makes this easy, preparing the entire meal for any special occasion.
Amirage is a private dining service that focuses exclusively on Caribbean fare for dinner parties of between 2 and 12 diners. Having cooked Caribbean food for over 20 years, the inspiration for Amirage came from rave reviews from guests at the owner’s own dinner parties and an article in a national newspaper which highlighted a trend towards hiring personal chefs and cooks to prepare imaginative meals indoors. With training and plenty of imagination, Amirage was born.
The personal meal planning and preparation service takes the hassle out of hosting dinner parties, ensuring that you’re full of life when your guests arrive. You can enjoy the company and revel in the praise you’ll receive for the wonderful meal and relaxed atmosphere.
Amirage visit you for a consultation to discuss your event and offers a tempting choice of menus. Guidance is given on each dish if you are unfamiliar with Caribbean cuisine, which comes from a fusion of Spanish, Arawak, African, French, English, East Indian, Jewish and Chinese influences.
After the consultation they do all the shopping – the finest ingredients are sourced from the UK’s leading specialist Caribbean food supplier and fresh produce is bought from their local farmers market.
On the day of your dinner party, the meal is prepared at your home, creating a wonderful home cooked aroma. You’ll receive information on each dish and presentation to ensure the wow factor when your guests are seated. Then the cook vanishes before your guests arrive – as if she were a mirage while you host a lavish dinner party and lap up the praise!

"We get caterers in from time to time, it works out better value as a group than going to most restaurants, but I have to say that this was the the best we have tried. It was a real occassion, and the rum punch that was provided really got us all in the mood. I can be a bit of a fussy eater when it comes to non-European cuisine, but every dish was delicious, we will be asking for seconds! P.S. The food was served at my own home so the atmosphere was relaxed (and I didn't have to get a taxi!)."
