Music Review: Feist - 1234
Release date: Out now
Genre: Folk
Format: Single
Our rating: 3/5
This song would be recognisable even if it hadn’t been all over the TV in the recent I-pod nano advert. Feist’s sweet voice has a cheerful charm and 1234’s simple lyrics have a hopscotch rhythm that sounds familiar in a warm, cosy kind of way.
The song is uplifting and bouncy but remains just the right side of sweet, so despite it’s colourful skip-along-happiness, it’s not so saccharine that it sets your teeth on edge.
