Mel B

This must be a serious dream for Mel, as she has turned down a Spice Girls Reunion tour, which would have been very lucrative for her. So who would be your leading man then Mel - that’s what we would like to know!

Mel B in BBC3 - 03/12/02

The channel is aimed to appeal for ’young adults’ (classed as 25-30 year olds) and will replace BBC Choice. Mel B is going to be starring in a new drama series for the channel - this will be called ’Burn It’ and will also feature Lisa Faulkner.

BBC3 is due to start on 9th February 2003. Good Luck Mel!

Mel B is going to become even scarier after signing up to star in a horror film. The movie is about animal activists who make a terrifying discovery. She hopes that LD50 will get her noticed as a serious actress. We do too, obviously.

Old love now new love - 09/10/02

Mel B it seems has got back with her ex, actor Max Beesley. The Spice Girl flew straight into Max’s arms in America last week and were spotted kissing and cuddling by a pool in California. The pair split up in April after a series of blazing rows, they now all seem forgotten as they got very reacquainted.

Mel is also using the trip to get in touch with Mel C, with a view to reforming the Spice Girls. It seems a sudden interest in reforming the Spice Girls is due to financial necessity with none of the girls apart from Victoria making any real money.

Slapper spice - 24/09/02
Mel B has slept with so many men she even labels herself "a tart". In her autobiography she tells of the countless blokes she has shared a bed with and even revealed she once bedded a man twice her age after plucking him from the audience at a concert. Courtesy of Heat Magazine

Mel tells all - 23/09/02
Melanie B, the former Spice Girl has revealed all in a no-holds-barred autobiography. Scary Spice details all about her upbringing in a mixed-race family on a Leeds council estate, to being catapulted to fame at the age of 20.

Mel reveals how she coped with her unprecedented adulation at such a young age. She talks in depth about her love affairs, her tempestuous marriage and painful divorce, and her days with the Spice Girls - the tantrums, the triumphs, and what she really thought of the other group members.

The autobiography titled Catch A Fire is out now, it also includes exclusive entries from Mel’s personal diaries. Melanie Brown for the time being has turned her back on music and is concentrating on a acting career.

She is currently filming Burn It a new comedy drama due to be shown on BBC1 later this year.

Tedious Spice - 10/09/02
Mel B’s been making friends on the set of new BBC drama Burn It. An insider reports, "It was one strop after another. If she wasn’t moaning about her early-morning starts then it was over something trivial like the catering. She was such a prima donna."

Biography

Mel B - better known as Scary Spice - was born in Leeds in 1975 to a white mother and an Afro-Caribbean father and says it was the racial abuse she suffered growing up which gave her the drive to succeed.

Mel moved to London in an attempt to break into the entertainment business. She answered an advert in entertainment publication The Stage, went to the audition and was selected because of her voice and good looks to be part of the Spice Girls who as we all know, went on to dominate the charts all over the world. Her up-front attitude and in-your-face style has won her a huge gay following.

Now more famous for her boob job (removed after leakage) and pierced tongue (removed when the hole got too big) than her musical talents, Mel’s post-Spice Girls career is in freefall and she’s now desperate to become a TV presenter before it splats. A former Spectacle Wearer of the Year who bites her toenails and detests all forms of salad, Mel says her ideal man would be ’zany’. Let’s hope she chooses more wisely than ex-husband Jimmy ’Gold Card’ Gulzar, her former backing singer who is said to have tearfully serenaded a close male friend with I Will Always Love You at their wedding. She is however the proud mother of baby daughter Phoenix Chi.

Mel B has boughgt her mum a home in Headingley, and to be even closer to her roots, Mel is considering buying herself a home in Alwoodley.
