Keith comforts ’depressed’ Lily - June 27 2007 Keith Allen has revealed he is flying to New York to comfort daughter Lily after she was upset by a recent spat with Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole.
The 54-year-old, who had 21-year-old Lily with his first wife Alison Owen, said Lily had spoken to him about feeling "depressed, low and isolated" since Cheryl branded her a "chick with a d***".
"I spoke to her about feeling depressed, low and isolated. She’s a very vulnerable young lady and is nowhere near as confident about herself as it would appear," he said. "She’s a solo artist, completely and utterly alone - and it’s incredibly difficult.
"She has all the problems that any 21-year-old would have, multiplied because she’s on the road on her own," he added.
Keith also hit out at the media for comparing Lily to Kate Moss, saying it was "wrong".
"They are entirely different entities. Lily is like me. I used to mouth off about everybody, which I shouldn’t have done because it’s boring and negative," he said.
Lily is in New York recording her second album.
