Nush has rod removed from leg - 09/12/03 Kentish town resident and Big Brother babe Nush is going back to hospital to have a 12 inch steel rod removed from her leg. She was mugged in Islington after a night out with fellow contestant Scott in August. Her knee and thigh were shattered when she was pushed to the ground. Nush said: "I can’t wait. I need physiotherapy to help me walk normally but - fingers crossed - this is the start of getting over the accident." Nush injured in mugging - 22/08/03 Kentish Town resident and Big Brother babe Nush is in hospital after being attacked by a mugger. She was out with fellow Big Brother mates Scott and Jon, and they were returning from their night out at 4 a.m when the mugger struck. He pounced on the yoga fanatic and tried to snatch her bag, but Nush struggled with him and was pushed to the ground, sustaining a serious injury to her leg and kneecap. The mugger ran off with her bag and Scott called an ambulance. Nush has now undergone emergency surgery to insert wires and a metal rod into her leg to pin her broken kneecap and femur at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. This incident could prove costly to Nush, as now not only has her bag, money and mobile been stolen, but a fitness video that she was going to film has been put on hold while she recovers. Nush Nowak came to public attention as the hippy yoga loving gal on Big Brother 4, who hugged everyone when she walked in and was rumoured to have a romance with fellow contestant Scott.
