He said he had to consider whether or not to make an application to adjourn, adding the information he had was that Sienna would not be able to attend the trial.

"She is a critical witness from our perspective," he told the court.

District Judge David Simpson, who is hearing Ferry’s trial, said: "I think it is too late in the day to have an adjournment outright so if anything we are going to be part-heard."

Otis, 25, denies two counts of criminal damage and the trial is due to be opened in front of the judge later today.

His younger brother and Sienna were rumoured to be a couple at the time of the incident and had been partying at Boujis nightclub in south Kensington.

Sienna Miller has apparently had enough of boyfriend Rhys Ifans’ friends - after she was snubbed by Kate Moss.

It seems the supermodel humiliated Sienna when she called her offering help preparing for a party - and now the actress has said she doesn’t want to be part of their gang.

An insider told The Sun: "Rhys persuaded Sienna to call Kate the night before Davinia Taylor’s 30th birthday party to see if she needed any help.

"Rhys has felt a huge hole in his life where his friends used to be. He’s accepted it would be impossible for him to be mates with Sienna’s ex Jude Law now.

"But he thought if he could swing Kate around he would be able to get friends like Sadie Frost and Davinia’s husband Dave Gardner back onside."

The source added: "He told Sienna it would really help if she called Kate. She refused at first, saying it would be a really unnatural thing to do.

"But Rhys finally convinced Sienna, telling her to act it out like a part.

"When Sienna finally called and asked Kate if she needed any help preparing for the party. Kate just laughed it off, patronisingly called her ’a sweetheart’ and told her to have a good night."

Sienna Miller has signed up to star in a movie version of GI Joe.

The 25-year-old actress will play a sexy femme fatale who is skilled in espionage, according to Variety.

Military action hero GI Joe started life as a Second World War comic strip and went on to become a popular series of toys in the US.

The film is set at the Brussels-based GIJOE - an acronym for the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity - where a band of special operatives battle to defeat Cobra, an evil organisation headed up by a Scottish arms dealer.

Sienna - who has appeared in films such as Casanova, Factory Girl and Interview - is the first star to sign on for the big budget production.

GI Joe will be directed by The Mummy’s Stephen Sommers.

Filming begins in February and the release is scheduled for August 2009.

They have only just come out as couple, but it seems Sienna Miller might have taken her relationship with Rhys Ifans to another level, if rumours of an engagement are to be believed.

The Stardust actress, 25, is said to have been coy when asked by friends if the couple plan to wed, after Rhys apparently proposed with a self-penned ditty, titled Marry This Misfit, reports the Daily Mirror.

A source said: "She fell about laughing, but soon realised Rhys was serious. While she didn’t give him an answer straight away, she’s since been thinking about it more and more."

But friends of the star apparently believe the pair could already be engaged in secret.
