While a hotel insider said: "We have heard a famous Hollywood actress is marrying an Indian businessman here.
"The couple will stay with the royal family in their private quarters at the back of the palace but I think their guests will stay in the attached hotel."
Guests are said to include Victoria and David Beckham and Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish.
Liz posts notice to marry - Feb 17 2007
Model Liz Hurley has raised eyebrows by describing herself as a "professional actress" on her notice of marriage, it emerged today.
Liz, 41, is to wed Indian businessman Arun Nayar at Sudeley Castle, near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, according to the document which went on public display at Cheltenham Register Office.
The former face of Estee Lauder has however decided not to describe herself as a model on the official form, but as a "professional actress," according to a register office source.
Liz has starred as the leading lady in Hollywood blockbusters Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery and Bedazzled, but failed to impress critics with her "wooden" performances.
She also gives her address as Sudeley Castle where the wedding is due to take place, and not one of her three homes.
Liz is rumoured to be tying the knot at the imposing venue on March 3.
The model is close friends with the Castle’s heir Henry Dent-Brocklehurst, who is godfather to Liz’s son Damian.
She fled to Sudeley after news broke of Hugh Grant’s brief liaison with a prostitute in Los Angeles in 1995.
The couple are thought to be planning a second ceremony in India.
The Beckhams and Sir Elton John are among the stars who have been invited to the bash.
The notice of marriage is on display at Cheltenham Register Office for the statutory period of 15 days from February 12 until February 28.
The couple have a year to get married after the form is published and gives people the chance to raise any objections to the marriage.
Saris and turbans for Liz’s wedding - Jan 10 2007
Liz Hurley has issued a dress code for her forthcoming wedding - turbans for the men and pink saris for the women.
The model is set to marry Indian boyfriend Arun Nayar in March, with ceremonies in both Gloucestershire and Rajasthan.
To ensure all guests are appropriately attired for the Indian celebrations, the couple are opening their own "wedding shop" in the Hilton Towers Hotel in Mumbai, according to London’s Evening Standard.
Friends including the Beckhams and Sir Elton John will be kitted out in traditional dress and have been instructed to look "glamorous and fabulous".
The shop will stock saris, turbans, kurtas (long tunics for men) and bindis (jewellery worn on the forehead by Hindu women).
Hindu brides traditionally wear pink or red saris.
Hurley and Nayar have issued friends with an "orientation pack" explaining exactly what they should wear.
"Please don’t panic... all Indian clothes can be bought when you arrive in India, where they will be much nicer," they wrote.
The couple are believed to be marrying first at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire on March 3.

At 21, Hurley got her first film role in the 1987 film Aria after having attended the London Studio Centre on scholarship. Hurley’s role in the film Remando al Viento that same year could be considered a crucial one, as it also starred her future boyfriend Hugh Grant.
However, despite acting and modelling jobs it was a certain safety pinned Versace frock that made Liz on of Britain’s most famous faces. She wore what would soon simply be called ’that dress’ to the premiere of Hugh’s breakthrough film Four Weddings and a Funeral. More attention followed when Estee Lauder signed Hurley to be the face of their cosmetics.
Although together for several years, even sticking together through the embarrassing Divine Brown incident, Hugh and Liz split in 2001 although they remain friends to this day. Liz had a brief fling with billionaire Steve Bing, during which she became pregnant with her son Damien. A very public battle occured during her pregnancy with Bing claiming that the child was not his. Liz found vindication when the child was born - not only was he the spit of Bing but a dna test proved without doubt what we could all see.
Liz is now engaged to Indian businessman Arun Nayer and their impending nuptuals have been the source of much speculation with several dates touted and even Hugh Grant has been suggested as Arun’s best man.
Meanwhile Liz’s career has taken a forward leap. Her acting credentials may be lousy (Bedazzled anyone?) and her stint as presenter of Project Catwalk might have been panned but the very British beauty has found her niche. Elizabeth Hurley Beach, her own range of beachwear has been flying off the shelves in the UK and US while her Estee Lauder job goes from strength to strength.
Liz splits her time between Ampney Crucis in the Cotswolds and California.
