The model and her pal Patrick Cox were among stars who designed their ultimate cocktail bar and signature cocktail for the event at Covent Garden's Piazza.
Other names taking part in the initiative, hosted by Sir Elton's partner David Furnish, were Sam Taylor-Wood, Dinos Chapman and Christopher Bailey.
Liz said: "We were travelling together in America on a tour last month trying to come up with our final idea for our design.
"We were late with our design, probably the latest. I think all the installations were finished apart from ours which was in our heads. Then we just thought actually what we want to do is glamour, so we designed the glamorous crystal bar."
Patrick added: "Diamonds are very big in Elizabeth's life and they are very big in David and Elton's lives so we took that as an inspiration so it's all made out of crystal blocks that look like real diamonds."
Guests on the red carpet also included David Walliams, June Sarpong, Louise Redknapp, Nicky Clarke, Theo Fennell, Kelly Hoppen, Toby Anstis, Donna Air, Jefferson Hack and Kelly Osbourne."
Liz accused of ’penny pinching’ - Oct 17 2007
Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar have been accused of "penny pinching" after failing to make a donation to the parish which hosted their wedding.
The Rev John Partington normally charges fees up front to perform blessings in the Cotswold parish of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire.
But he made an exception for the couple, hoping they’d show their appreciation after the ceremony at Sudeley Castle in March.
The parish, which relies on wedding and blessing fees to pay bills and maintain churches, hasn’t received a penny from the newlyweds.
Parish treasurer Sue Williams insisted Liz was told it was normal practice to make a donation.
"I think the arrangement was less fluid in this case but it was advised something is normally paid.
"We were certainly expecting something. For the choir, organist and vicar to attend the bill normally would be in the region of a £1,000.
"I suppose we were hoping they might give us a bit more than that, but we haven’t received a penny from them."
Liz, 41, and Arun, 42, wed in a civil ceremony at the castle, before holding a blessing at St Mary’s Church.
The couple plan to give the church 12 kneelers as a thank you, but Mrs Williams said they’d prefer the money to pay bills.
Rupert Chislett, vice-chairman of Friends of Winchcombe, said he thought people "feel genuinely aggrieved" at the situation.
"It does seem to be a slightly grubby case of penny pinching," he added.
Nobody was available to comment on the couple’s behalf today, but a spokeswoman for Liz told the Gloucestershire Echo they’d be donating a gift.
"Elizabeth and Arun have commissioned a dozen, hand-embroidered kneelers to donate to St Mary’s Church at Sudeley Castle, for all worshippers and visitors to enjoy."

At 21, Hurley got her first film role in the 1987 film Aria after having attended the London Studio Centre on scholarship. Hurley’s role in the film Remando al Viento that same year could be considered a crucial one, as it also starred her future boyfriend Hugh Grant.
However, despite acting and modelling jobs it was a certain safety pinned Versace frock that made Liz on of Britain’s most famous faces. She wore what would soon simply be called ’that dress’ to the premiere of Hugh’s breakthrough film Four Weddings and a Funeral. More attention followed when Estee Lauder signed Hurley to be the face of their cosmetics.
Although together for several years, even sticking together through the embarrassing Divine Brown incident, Hugh and Liz split in 2001 although they remain friends to this day. Liz had a brief fling with billionaire Steve Bing, during which she became pregnant with her son Damien. A very public battle occured during her pregnancy with Bing claiming that the child was not his. Liz found vindication when the child was born - not only was he the spit of Bing but a dna test proved without doubt what we could all see.
Liz is now engaged to Indian businessman Arun Nayer and their impending nuptuals have been the source of much speculation with several dates touted and even Hugh Grant has been suggested as Arun’s best man.
Meanwhile Liz’s career has taken a forward leap. Her acting credentials may be lousy (Bedazzled anyone?) and her stint as presenter of Project Catwalk might have been panned but the very British beauty has found her niche. Elizabeth Hurley Beach, her own range of beachwear has been flying off the shelves in the UK and US while her Estee Lauder job goes from strength to strength.
Liz splits her time between Ampney Crucis in the Cotswolds and California.
