But doubts about Liam’s will to succeed are apparent from the off; he was said to be carrying a Snickers bar even as he was buying the fitness video.

Liam ’great’ at changing nappies - 25/09/01
Hampstead’s Liam Gallagher has said to the NME that life with his new baby Gene and mother Nicole Appleton means: ’There’s nappies to be changed, and I’m great at it.’

In the same interview he takes swipes at many of his pop music colleagues. Of Posh Spice and her literary pretensions, he says: ’She can’t even chew chewing gum and walk in a straight line at the same time, let alone write a book.’

Then he turns his venom on old rival Damon Albarn accusing him of being bald and threatening to slap him next time he sees him. Of Damon’s band Gorrillaz, he says: ’It’s like three-year-olds’ music, worse than Steps. Whatever happened to his beloved Blur?’

Finally he has some views on Eminem. ’People set their standards too low in their idols these days.’ Of course, some would say that this could equally be applied to the notorious Oasis frontman himself.

Baby for Liam and Nicole - 10/07/01
Primrose Hill residents Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton have just had a baby boy, Gene Appleton Gallagher. Ritual requests for privacy were included in the press statement issued by Oasis’ management company. Former All Saints’ singer Nicole was said to be well.

As far as is known, this is Liam’s third child and Nicole’s first, although she has previously dated stars like Robbie Williams and Leonardo DiCaprio. Gallagher has a son by former wife Patsy kensit and, allegedly, a daughter by former girlfriend Lisa Moorish.

Biography

Liam Gallagher was born William John Paul Gallagher in September 21, 2020 In Burnage. When Liam was a kid he was called "Peggy’s shadow" because he always clung to his mom. When Liam was around 8 years old, he said that he hated music. He would often insult people walking down the street with guitars in their hands.

This is probably because his older brother Noel was quite talented at playing the guitar and because they shared a bedroom, they often fought with each other. Liam quit school around the age of 14 and became a fence-painter. He was making about £100 a week while his former classmates stayed in school. Around the time when Liam was 19, he hooked up with an old school buddy named Paul McGuigan.

He found that Paul had a band that needed a vocalist, so he offered his services. When he joined, he changed the band’s name from "The Rain" (which was the name of a Beatles song) to "Oasis"; a name which he apparently saw on a poster in his bedroom. Liam also became the band’s song writer, along with Paul Arthurs (who was the also band’s guitarist). They only really rehearsed one day a week and didn’t get too many gigs. It was after one of their rare gigs, that Liam’s older brother Noel saw them perform. He said that their band was "utter shite" and said that he would join if he took over control of the band and wrote all of their songs. The band agreed and, well, the rest is history.
