She has the hump at having to pay her 40 per cent tax to help keep others. Lady V may be living a glamorous life but when she was asked what issue would force her to take to the streets in protest she replied: "Tax." She added: "What annoys me is when these families have got like 12 children and we’re paying for these kids."

Asked if it was because they were claiming benefits, she said: "Yeah - and because they work out that they make more money being on the dole than having a job, they just laze around." She then has the audacity to state that she hates dysfunctional families, only seemingly forgetting that she comes from one. Lady V’s father Victor, the 6th Marquess of Bristol, was a crook who was sent to prison for three years in the 1930s for his part in a bungled jewellery heist at a Mayfair hotel. He died in 1985. Her half-brother John was a heroin addict, jailed twice for drug offences and deported from Australia before he died two years ago, aged 45. 08/06/00 Knightsbridge Motcomb Street was buzzing with the launch of Akademi. Lady Victoria Hervey and Jayne Blight’s new boutique. Guests including Henry and Lili Dent Brocklehurst, Mick Hucknall and Jemma Kidd, arrived to walk up the red carpet and be welcomed by Lady Victoria who was wearing a striking outfit. The boutique stocks around 40 different designers’ collection. The launch turned into a perfect summer party, with guests spilling outside to sip glasses of champagne, turning the event into a fashionable street party.
