Keira to quit London? - Dec 20 2007
Keira Knightley is apparently quitting London to live in the country with her man Rupert Friend, saying she doesn't want the showbiz life.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 22, revealed she wants to settle down somewhere that has little local shops away from the hustle of the capital, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Keira is quoted as saying: "I'm moving out of the centre so that I can lead a more domestic life. I want to have local things like shops and nice pubs. Central London is just so busy."
And she apparently added that the movie star lifestyle didn't suit her.
"I am also not a very sociable person. I went to the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party and just stood in the corner drinking champagne. Honestly, I don't like parties very much. I have very few real friends in showbusiness so it's not really my crowd."
Keira, who met her boyfriend Rupert on the set of Pride And Prejudice, was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Atonement.
Keira’s skin problems - Dec 19 2007
She might be blessed with good looks and a glittering career, but it seems even Keira Knightley has to contend with that universal blight - spots.
The 22-year-old Atonement star has apparently confessed that she needs to wear make-up at red carpet premieres to cover up her acne, reports the Daily Express.
Keira is quoted as saying: "My film career has boosted my self-esteem. I’m self-conscious and I’ve always tried to dress down. I don’t even like wearing make-up but I have to because of my acne."
And the starlet added that she owed a lot to her trusty make-up artists, saying: "I’ve been saved many times at film premieres by wonderful make-up artists who make my skin look much better than it is. That’s all part of the make believe world of cinema."
Keira was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress for her performance in the big screen adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel Atonement.

She starred in The Princess of Thieves in ’01, and then in Bend It Like Beckham in ’02, where she played the role of a football-obsessed teenager alongside the lead actress Parminder Nagra. Because she had barely touched a football until then, Keira trained intensely for three full months, practicing tricks and ball handling, Brazilian style. As Bend It Like Beckham gained in popularity, so did Keira, making a name for herself.
It was not long before Jerry Bruckheimer, the famous Hollywood producer of blockbusters like Pearl Harbor, chose her for a leading role in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (’03), starring alongside Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. The Pirates of the Caribbean went on to become a huge international box-office hit, bringing Keira’s fame to an international level.
Her latest appearance is as Guinevere in the new Disney adaptation of King Arthur’s tales. Hollywood seems to have taken a liking to her. As have Glamour magazine’s ’fashion analysts,’ who listed her as the fifth best-dressed female celebrity world-wide (Kate Moss came in number one, but she’s got about a decade of experience under the belt, if nothing else).
