Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton has a job with fashion chain Jigsaw, the company said today.

The 24-year-old, who has been dating the future king for three years, has become an accessory buyer for the high street brand.

A spokeswoman for Jigsaw said: "We can confirm that Kate joined our staff two or three weeks ago as an accessory buyer for Jigsaw and Jigsaw Junior. We can’t comment any further."

Kate studied art history at St Andrews and graduated from university, where she met William and shared a flat with the Prince, a year-and-a-half ago.

The womenswear chain is owned by fashion tycoons John and Belle Robinson - close family friends of Kate’s.

Their company Robinson Webster Holdings also owns the Kew womenswear stores.

According to The Sun newspaper, Kate has already helped out on a fashion shoot where she ran errands, fetching cups of tea and snacks.

The Prince’s girlfriend has been described as a walking advert for Jigsaw, often being seen wearing its cardigans, floral print skirts and dresses.

It will be a major coup for the brand to have the woman being tagged as a future Queen on board.

Biography

Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born on January 9 1982 to business Michael Middleton and his wife Carole and raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire. She attended the posh Marlborough College before securing a place at the University of St Andrews where she not only acheived a BA in History of Art but bagged herself a boyfriend in the shape of Prince William.

Kate split with boyfriend Rupert Finch in 2003 before hooking up with her flatmate Wills, being pinned as the future Queen of England. Despite rumours that they were to announce their engagement around Christmas 2006 the couple split in early 2007 after four years together.

Kate works as an Accessories Buyer for high street chain Jigsaw.
