Joss Stone wants to quit singing to become a midwife - Feb 9, 2021
Joss Stone wants to quit singing to become a midwife. The stunning soul sensation admits she doesn’t want to be a singer her whole life and thinks delivering babies for a living would be "nice". The 18-year-old star told Elle magazine: "I want to be a midwife. It must be the nicest job. I don’t just want to be a singer my whole life. "I want to learn. I never thought that I’d say that."
The beautiful blonde also revealed she has turned down a host of film roles because she believes she would "ruin" the movies she gets offered. Joss is convinced she would be a useless actress and has no plans to switch the recording studio for the big screen.
She added: "They keep giving me lead roles, which is silly. I’d ruin it."

Rebranded as young soul diva Joss Stone the sixteen year old burst on to the scene with a reworking of The White Stripes’ Fell In Love With A Girl, earning her critical acclaim from the notoriously hard to please music press and ensuring that her debut album The Soul Sessions went top five here in the UK.
Joss’ record company wasted no time in following up her success with a hastily released second album, Mind, Body and Soul in 2004. Made up entirely of original songs the album debuted at number one in the charts, making Joss the youngest artist to reach the spot, and spawned several popular singles including You Had Me and Don’t Cha Wanna Ride?
In 2005 the singer was presented with two Brit Awards, nominated for three Grammy Awards and appeared at massive charity concert Live8 in Hyde Park…not bad going for an eighteen year old from Devon.
