Jordan - real name Katie Price - was chosen by the public and beat Jade Goody, Kate Moss and Heather Mills McCartney to the title.

She is mother to Harvey, four, and two-year-old Junior.

"I’m so pleased to receive this award. Harvey and Junior will be so proud of their mummy," she said.

Bringing up Harvey - Jordan’s son by footballer Dwight Yorke - has been tough for the 28-year-old model.

He was born partially blind and has a growth disorder. On New Year’s Eve he was rushed to hospital with burns after an accident in the bath.

Jordan went on to have son Junior with pop star husband Peter Andre.

Grattan boss Mike Hancox presented the model with her award at a ceremony in central London.

He said: "The general public showed in their voting just how much they respect and admire her as a mother.

"Katie has become a symbol of how a person can constantly be in the public eye, whilst remaining a devoted and doting mum."

Other contenders this year included Victoria Beckham, the Duchess of York and Davina McCall.

Jade Goody was fourth in the public vote - despite the Celebrity Big Brother race row. This Morning host Fern Britton was second, followed by Victoria Beckham. The Duchess of York was fifth.

Previous winners include Sharon Osbourne and Kerry Katona.

The pregnant model, real name Katie Price, doesn’t think Kerry’s new husband Mark Croft is good for her, according to the Daily Mirror.

"I think he’s a bully," Jordan said. "Kerry hasn’t even got her own phone. He’s taking advantage of how fragile she is. I’m worried about her bring the next Anna Nicole."

The voluptuous blonde, whose sudden death three weeks ago aged 39, was buried on Friday, surrounded by hundreds of mourners.

Kerry, 26 - who has just given birth to a baby daughter - wed taxi driver Mark Croft, 35, at Gretna Green on Valentine’s Day. The couple met a year ago and he proposed after three weeks.

It is rumoured that their relationship is already on the rocks after a string of blazing rows.

Glamour model Jordan met the Queen and chatted to her about the progress of her son Harvey.

The Monarch was opening a children’s centre at Moorfields Eye Hospital when she was introduced to Jordan - real name Katie Price - and her family.

She shook hands with the celebrity and her husband Peter Andre, while four-year-old Harvey greeted her by saying "Hello Your Majesty".

The youngster, who is partially blind, is a patient at Moorfields in London.

Jordan told the Queen: "He has been here from day one. He can see shapes and colours now. He’s really improving and he’s four-and-a-half now."

She told the Queen that Harvey, who was sitting in a wheelchair, had also been taken to hospital in the New Year after burning himself.

She said after meeting the Monarch: "She was actually quite chatty. I thought, we’re having a conversation here. She was really concerned and asked how long he had been here. She said he’s in the right place."
