Bad boy! - 30/04/03
There have been a number of complaints over Jonathan Ross’s comments on masturbation.
It doesn’t bare thinking about really does it? But The BBC’s complaints unit and the Broadcasting Standards Commission upheld complaints concerning two separate incidents. One of the ’comments’ was on Jonathan’s Radio 2 show, when he was talking to Bargain Hunt host David Dickinson.
David was promoting his new ’Bargain Hunt’ video when Jonathan said "If you wait until the end of the video there’s a scene with David bringing himself off on an Ottoman."

Jonathan Ross’s missus Jane Goldman is to make her debut as a TV presenter.
It seems the couple have developed a new show about odd modern artists for the BBC, which she will host, well at least she can pronounce her ’R’s.
Goldman was a newspaper journalist before meeting Ross, and recently wrote a sci-fi novel. Jonathan Ross is busy producing Asian Invasion, starring Adam and Joe, for digital channel BBC3.
It will be based in an apartment - from which they will present a weekly round-up of new movies, comics and video games from Tokyo.

Generous Jonathan Ross and his lovely wife Jane Goldman gave their best friend, girl-about-town Emily Dean, a swanky black Mini Cooper as a Christmas pressie. Why aren’t they our friends?

He began his career in television as a researcher but in 1987 made his mark with The Last Resort With Jonathan Ross, a late night chat show. Over the years he became increasingly popular, hosting Comic Relief, It’s Only TV But I Like It and appearing on They Think It’s All Over.
In 1999 he took over from Barry Norman as the face of Film (insert year here), which allowed him to indulge his love of the big screen and, in particular, Far Eastern cinema. Having previously hosted shows on Virgin and Radio One he is now a regular presenter on Radio Two and was voted as having the Sexiest Male Voice in a survey by Trojan Condoms, despite having a rhotacism (meaning he pronounces an R as W). His controversial BBC salary also covers Ross’ own TV show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
Jonathan is married to fellow TV presenter and journalist Jane Goldman, they were hitched in 1988 when Jane was just eighteen. They have three children, Betty Kitty, Harvey Kirby and Honey Kinney and live in London with several bizarre pets, inlcuding sheep and lizards.
