However, Rowling, 40, did make it clear that when she has finished the seventh novel that will be end of Harry’s adventures once and for all. She explained: "I’ve never been tempted to kill him, Harry, off before the end of book seven, because I always planned seven books and that’s where I want to go. "I can completely understand, however, the mentality of an author who thinks, ’Well, I’m going to kill them off because that means there can be no non-author-written sequels ... so it will end with me, and after I’m dead and gone they won’t be able to bring back the character’."
So far, the Harry Potter series has sold over 300 million copies worldwide.
JK Rowling’s attack against stick-thin models - April 6, 2020
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has found an unlikely ally in rock chick Pink in her attack against stick-thin models. The mother-of-three has attacked modern women’s obsession with weight, brandishing models as "empty headed, self-obsessed, emancipated clones".
Her rant came in the same week as pop star Pink released her single ’Stupid Girls’, attacking celebrities such as Paris Hilton, who Rowling scorns as a "talking toothpick". The writer, who has sold more than 300 million copies of her books worldwide, also admits she fears for her two daughters, Jessica, 12, and 15-month-old Mackenzie, growing up in a "skinny obsessed world".
Her attacks came after the multi-millionaire read an interview with a young model. She wrote on her website: "She can talk about eating absolutely loads, being terribly busy and having the world’s fastest metabolism until her tongue drops off (Hooray! Another couple of ounces gone!) "But her concave stomach, protruding ribs and stick-like arms tell a different story. This girl needs help but the world being what it is they’re sticking her on magazine covers."
Speaking about her daughters, she added: "I’d rather they were independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny - a thousand things before thin."
Premiere of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire - Nov 07, 2020
Harry Potter weaved his magic over 7,000 fans at the world premiere of his new movie last night (06.11.05). Teenage actor Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard, was greeted by thousands of screaming girls as he arrived in London’s Leicester Square for the first screening of ’Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’.
Looking dapper in a green velvet waistcoat and jacket, the 16-year-old admitted he was thrilled at how many fans had turned out to see him and his co-stars, including Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who play Harry’s best pals Hermione and Ron. He said: "I’m trying to learn to relax when girls are screaming and it does get easier every time I do a premiere. "You have to keep reminding yourself that this is incredibly strange, incredibly wonderful, and fans have been waiting here for hours."

As a post-graduate, she moved to London to work at Amnesty International doing research into human rights abuses in Francophone Africa, she married and divorced and was left holding the baby. The tale of how Rowling scratched out her first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in an Edinburgh caf? while surviving on social security is well known.
When Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was bought and published by Bloomsbury in 1997 her life changed dramatically, the Harry Potter series has since then won numerous awards and become a tremendous success around the world. Warner Brothers have bought the rights to the first two books for a "substantial seven figure sum".
Now you can watch the books on the silver screen, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and featuring Robbie Coltrane, Zoe Wanamaker and John Cleese. Learn this, or face ridicule from adults and children alike.
