Jennifer and Vince had a dramatic bust-up - June 16, 2020
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn reportedly had a dramatic bust-up at the London premiere of their new movie. The former ’Friends’ actress apparently angered her actor boyfriend after stirring up engagement rumours by wearing a ring on her wedding finger to the premiere of ’The Break-Up’ on Wednesday night (14.06.06). see photos of the premiere
When asked about the band, she joked: "It’s a 9.5 carat canary diamond Suzy Fabrikant ring. Nice isn’t it?" After hearing the comment, Vaughn is said to have marched the actress to one side and blasted her for using their relationship to gain publicity for the movie. A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Vince is notoriously private about his personal life and he doesn’t want people to know much about their relationship
"He was overhead telling Jennifer it was a ’cheap trick’." Their feud allegedly continued at the after-show party held at trendy West End hangout W’Sens. One onlooker said the pair barely spoke and Aniston - who revealed she was missing her friend, Courtney Cox’s 42nd birthday party to be at the premiere - finally left complaining of a ’headache’. At a press conference on Thursday (15.06.06) to promote the film, journalists were banned from asking the pair anything about their relationship.
Jennifer’s new movie ’The Break Up’ is number one - June 6, 2020
Jennifer Aniston’s new movie ’The Break Up’ is number one at the US box office - despite being panned by critics. The romantic comedy - which stars the former ’Friends’ actress and her real life boyfriend Vince Vaughn - made $38.1 million in its first three days of release.
The movie also gives Aniston her first real taste of box office success. Recent releases, ’Derailed’ and ’Rumour Has It’ only made $36 million and $43 million respectively. However, ’The Break Up’ has been savaged by film critics. In its review, the Wall Street Journal asked: "What’s a smart comedienne doing in such a dumb movie?" Another critic sniped: "A romantic comedy that is both short on romance and comedy." The movie was also panned by test audiences.
A source told America’s New York Post newspaper: "The original screenplay had Jennifer and Vince’s characters breaking up at the end. So it was shot that way - but test audiences hated it. It tested really, and I mean really, badly." As a result of the negativity, the lead actors had to re-shoot parts of the film, reportedly costing the studio millions. The source added: "The new ending has them getting back together in the end. It should really be called ’The Make Up’. People want to see Jennifer happy after the tough time she has had with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie."

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have finally admitted they are dating. Recognised as a talented comedy actress, she began working on the Howard Stern Radio Show in the 80’s and 90’s, before moving to Hollywood and launching a career in television. There were several false starts as shows were cancelled, and her appearance in the horror movie ’Leprechaun’ attracted so much critical derision that she seriously considered giving up acting.
Cue Friends, for which she auditioned in 1994. The producers originally wanted her to audition for the role of Monica Geller, but she managed to persuade them that her talents would be far better used in the role of Rachel Green. She ended up playing the character for ten years, between 1994 and 2004. So successful was the show and so well loved was her character that during the final three seasons she commanded a fee of one million dollars per episode. The critics, once cruel, were now united in praise, and she was nominated five times for an Emmy award including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Since then she has been in several major Hollywood features, although she has not yet made a hit film.
Aniston’s acting talents rest upon an "everygirl" persona. This perhaps explains why the media has always taken an interest in her personal life. She previously dated Adam Duritz and actor Tate Donovan before beginning a long-term relationship with Brad Pitt. They were married in 2000. The pair divorced in spectacular fashion in 2005, with many in the press suspecting infidelity on Pitt’s part and Aniston’s refusal to have children as causes (She has since strongly denied that she doesn’t want children). She has remained tight lipped about her personal life ever since.
