The 21-year-old’s mum Maria moved to France just two months ago with Char’s adoptive dad James, but Maria has decided to return home to comfort her daughter, reports the Daily Mirror.
Maria reportedly told Grazia: "We are a very close family so James and I are moving back to Cardiff. Charlotte needs me to be around and I want to be there to help all I can."
She added: "I thought that phone calls would be enough, but they weren’t. We want to be there when our first grandchild is born."
Charlotte, who has made the successful transition from teen singing star to TV presenter, is due to give birth in three months.
Charlotte Defends Britney - June 7 2007
Charlotte Church has defended Britney Spears and her partying ways, saying it doesn’t make her a bad mum.
The 21-year-old, who is six months pregnant with boyfriend Gavin Henson’s baby, has famously enjoyed a night or two on the town in her native Wales. She is sober at the moment but told the Daily Star she intends to hit the champagne once her baby is born - and will follow Britney’s lead as a partying mother.
"If you’re a woman, you’re supposed to stay sober until your kids grow up," she said. "That’s not fair. Just because Britney had the odd night on the lash doesn’t make her a bad mum. She’s still allowed to have a good time every now and again. It would be different if it was every night."
Charlotte, who made her name singing classical music but has branched out into television presenting, picked up TV Personality Of The Year at the Glamour awards this week.
Pregnant Charlotte home alone - June 6 2007
A heavily pregnant Charlotte Church is apparently feeling lonely after being left home alone.
The 21-year-old’s mum Maria and partner James have packed up their Cardiff home to move to France - and boyfriend Gavin Henson is abroad playing with the Welsh team.
The brunette was left in tears when her parents left last week, according to reports.
A friend is reported to have told Closer magazine: "Charlotte normally sees or speaks to her mum every day, and when Gavin’s across the world playing rugby, she misses him desperately too. They ring each other every night, but she still longs for him to be at home."
Mum Maria told the mag: "James and I bought the house in France before Charl got pregnant and had always planned for a life in the sun. But it’s so hard leaving our little girl.
"Her French is brilliant and her leaving present for us was two pages of useful words we might need!"
The 41-year-old added that she may move back to Wales when the baby is born.
"When the baby comes Charl will need our help and we may move back. New mums tend to need their own mother around," she said.
"She and Gav have their own lives now, but it will be tough to stay away when there’s a grandchild who needs spoiling."
Charlotte buys new family home? - May 29 2007
Charlotte Church has reportedly splashed out on a new country house - after she knocked on the door of a property she liked and asked the owners if they’d sell it to her.
The 21-year-old, who is expecting her first baby with rugby player Gavin Henson, made the offer on a pad in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales, according to Reveal magazine.
The owners were stunned but apparently admitted they were thinking of selling up anyway.

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...
"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"
This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.
Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.
She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
