"It all went horribly wrong. I was hanging around for ages, waiting for the medical section to clear. The pregnancy kit had a security tag on it, which I had to take to the counter to be removed. I couldn’t have drawn more attention to myself if I’d tried!"
Charl and Gav to wed on NYE? - Sept 12 2007
Charlotte Church is reportedly set to marry her boyfriend Gavin Henson on New Year’s Eve.
The couple, who are expecting their first baby this month, are planning the celebration for family and friends at a secret location, according to Star magazine.
The 21-year-old singer’s mum Maria will apparently be giving her away and Gavin’s sister Sarah will be a bridesmaid.
A source told the magazine: "Charlotte can’t wait. She’s so excited that she and Gavin have finally thrashed out a date for their big day."
The date would mean Charlotte could get in shape gradually following the birth - she has said she doesn’t want to follow other celebs by trying to shift the baby weight immediately.
The source added: "Charlotte has always said she won’t go on a diet after having her baby, but the three months between the birth and the wedding will give her time to lose a little bit more weight so she can look even more fabulous."
No celeb workouts for post-baby Charlotte - Aug 29 2007
Charlotte Church won’t be in a hurry to lose her baby bump after she gives birth, according to her mum.
The 21-year-old singer is due to have her first child next month, with rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson, but her mum Maria says spending time with the new baby will be more important than working out.
Maria, 42, reportedly told Reveal magazine: "Charl isn’t into the celebrity gym thing at all. Celebrities who have babies seem to be stick thin again within weeks - they must spend every waking hour in the gym."
She added: "She’s determined to get the weight off but she’ll do it gradually. It usually takes most women six months to a year and that is the goal she has set herself.
"Being with her new baby is far more important to Charl than some silly workout."
Charlotte, who still doesn’t know whether she is expecting a boy or a girl, is apparently planning to have a water birth.
Charlotte’s Baby Security - Aug 20 2007
Her baby is due in just four weeks and it seems Charlotte Church is already getting a bit protective.
The mum-to-be is said to be putting a security ring costing £30,000 around her home, to keep the paparazzi out.
The 21-year-old and her rugby star fiance Gavin Henson are apparently worried that a public footpath near their farmhouse will make it easy for photographers to get near to their child, according to the Sun.
And the couple are apparently thinking of installing a panic button inside the £800,000 house as well, especially after Kerry Katona’s terrifying armed robbery ordeal.
The couple recently made it onto the Sunday Times rich list, ranked as the 49th richest young people in Britain with an estimated joint wealth of £10 million, so they’ve certainly got the cash to splash when it comes to keeping their baby safe.

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...
"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"
This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.
Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.
She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
