But Janis said she is less worried about her daughter now that Blake is in prison.
"I step back, look at life and think, well, they’ve put him away. I can see life taking care of the situation. I was more worried when they were together.
"Thank God he’s gone inside. Because it’s also a case of now he’s going to learn."
Blake, 25, was one of five men arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday.
Amy’s mum: My heart goes out to her - Nov 10 2007
Amy Winehouse’s mum has apparently said she thinks it might be better for the songstress to scrap her £1million UK tour altogether - saying "my heart goes out to her".
The 24-year-old has struggled to cope since hubby Blake Fielder-Civil was held in Pentonville prison accused of perverting the course of justice.
Janis, 52, told The Sun: "My heart goes out to her. She is under immense stress over Blake’s imprisonment.
"I wouldn’t hesitate to tell her to pull out if I feared she was in danger. I don’t want Amy destroying herself.
"But I think she will get by and come through what is a terribly lonely time for her right now."
Amy hit the stage last week for the opening night of her UK tour, dedicating one of her songs to Blake.
Towards the end of the show, as scores of fans headed for the exits, she challenged some who were booing saying: "To them people booing, wait ’til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that."

Amy dedicates song to jailed hubby - Nov 15 2007
Amy Winehouse has returned to the stage for the opening night of her UK tour, dedicating one of her songs to her husband who was locked up earlier this week.
In a sometimes brilliant, but often shambolic, set in Birmingham, the troubled singer devoted the song Wake Up Alone to her husband Blake Fielder-Civil which features the lyrics: "This face in my dreams seizes my guts. He floods me with dread."
She told thousands of fans at the city’s National Indoor Arena: "This is for my husband."
Her set included hits such as Back To Black and Tears Dry On Their Own and closed with Rehab, which she stumbled through.
Towards the end of the show, as scores of fans headed for the exits, she challenged some who were booing saying: "To them people booing, wait ’til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that."
Dressed in a black mini skirt and shiny silver top with her trademark beehive hairdo, the 24 year old, if at times a little unsteady on her feet, still managed to belt out her best known songs.
But the closing number, a cover of The Zuton’s Valerie descended into chaos when she stopped singing, dropped the microphone and walked off stage.
Earlier this week, Blake was remanded into custody at Pentonville Prison on charges of perverting the course of justice over a court trial in which he is accused of assaulting a pub landlord in north London in June last year.

Amy and her brother Alex were brought up by her mum and grandmother, and fondly remembers ’Growing up in East Finchley was cool.’ She started playing guitar at 12 and listening to jazz. Her acceptance into the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School seemed to spell big things for Amy, although she was expelled at 15, apparently for getting her nose pierced. She carried on her studies at an all girls school in Mill Hill, which she hated as there were no fella’s there.
Amy made appearances with the Youth Jazz Orchestra, produced a demo tape of jazz covers that was picked up by Universal/Island Records, and they signed her almost immediately. She released her album Frank in October 2003 and supported Jamie Callum on his national tour. Amy then went on to be nominated for two Brit Awards, British Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Artist. Not bad for a girl of 20!
