Amy stubs out cigarette on cheek? - Mar 6 2008
Amy Winehouse's swollen face was apparently caused when she stubbed a cigarette out on her cheek.
The Rehab singer was dining with friends in a London restaurant and was reportedly asked three times by staff to put out her Marlboro Light as she was breaking the smoking ban, according to The Sun.
After receiving her final warning Amy, 24, stared at the waitress as she allegedly pushed the burning tip of her cigarette into her own left cheek.
A fellow diner said: "She hardly flinched.
"The whole place was open-mouthed in horror.
"She was so out of it that she didn't feel the pain - everyone else looked completely stunned.
"The waitress covered her mouth in shock and just walked off to tell the manager. It was a horrible sight."
The singer has since tried to conceal the wound with foundation but it has become infected and swollen. She reportedly joked to fellow guests at the Paris Fendi fashion show on Friday she had the mumps.
Her spokesman said she had a skin complaint which had caused a rash.
Court postpones drug hearing for Amy - Feb 28 2008
A Norwegian court has decided to postpone a hearing for singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, who is accused of drug possession, according to local media reports.
The Back To Black star had been due in court on Friday to contest a fine, but the Bergen district court approved a request by Amy’s lawyer to reschedule the hearing, Norwegian news agency NTB reported.
The star and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested in the western city of Bergen in October last year and they were held overnight on charges of possessing seven grams of marijuana.
They were released the next morning after paying fines of 500 euro (£358) each, and they continued a European tour.
However, the singer - who recently impressed with her performance at the Brit Awards in London - later appealed against the fine, claiming Norwegian police made mistakes in the case.
Amy’s lawyer asks to delay hearing - Feb 28 2008
Singer Amy Winehouse’s lawyer has asked a court in Norway to postpone a drugs possession hearing she is due to attend on Friday.
Winehouse and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested in Bergen in October last year and held overnight on charges of possessing seven grammes of marijuana.
They were released the next morning after paying fines of around £350 each, and they continued a European tour.
However, the singer later appealed against the fine, claiming Norwegian police made mistakes in the case.
The appeal was scheduled for a court hearing this Friday, but Winehouse’s lawyer Ole Kvelstad now claims his client has not received the letter detailing the date of the hearing.
However, Bergen Police Attorney Rudolf Christoffersen said that Winehouse, who recently impressed with her performance at the Brit Awards, knows when the hearing is, even if the letter has not arrived.
Amy to launch fashion range? - Feb 27 2008
Amy Winehouse is apparently launching her own brand of clothes and cosmetics.
The Rehab singer is to produce her own style range so fans can recreate her unique look for themselves, reports The Sun.
The line will include her own brand of hairspray for recreating her famous bee-hive hairstyle and of course her own eyeliner for achieving her trademark heavy eye make-up flicks, according to the newspaper.
Amy, 24, reportedly has a meeting scheduled later this week to discuss the new project with fashion and make-up experts.

Amy and her brother Alex were brought up by her mum and grandmother, and fondly remembers ’Growing up in East Finchley was cool.’ She started playing guitar at 12 and listening to jazz. Her acceptance into the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School seemed to spell big things for Amy, although she was expelled at 15, apparently for getting her nose pierced. She carried on her studies at an all girls school in Mill Hill, which she hated as there were no fella’s there.
Amy made appearances with the Youth Jazz Orchestra, produced a demo tape of jazz covers that was picked up by Universal/Island Records, and they signed her almost immediately. She released her album Frank in October 2003 and supported Jamie Callum on his national tour. Amy then went on to be nominated for two Brit Awards, British Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Artist. Not bad for a girl of 20!
