After a break on the live music scene, Jill Scott returns to the road for 2007 with dates throughout the UK.
Following a productive time that includes movies, poetry and touring, the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter gets back ont he bus to promote her third album, ’The Real Thing: Words & Sounds Volume 3’.
Scotts new work features production work by Scott Storch (DMX, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ja
Rule), Jill’s musical director Adam Blackstone (The Roots), Carvin “Ransum” Haggins & Ivan “Orthodox” Barias (Musiq Soulchild, Chris Brown, Mario) and JR Hutson among others.

"saw jill Scott at Shepherds bush Empire yesterday 3/12/07 No support act just a DJ playing R&B...; doors open at 7pm stood for 2 hours waiting... was stood about 14 ft away from Jill right in front and the sound system was not its best at all .... could not make out her singing as the band and bass was too loud and thumpy..... perhaps im just getting old and grumpy !!!!!!!"

"We thought the sound was distorted up on the 2nd tier. The bass was reverberating and we were a tad disappointed. "

she was fantastic. anyone who knows her work but has not seen her live must get to see her. she done a 2 hour set and with her band blew everyone there away with her superb voice. as a venue the empire was perfect in size so that everyone got a great view. "
